Effective punching. I had Hopkins taking 5, Calzaghe taking 6, and one even, which makes it a draw.

yes but one effective punch a round doesnt win a fight.1,3 and 10 i gave to hopkins.

all hopkins did was hang on the ropes trying to set up the right hand and dive in with the head, crap fight but the SD was a joke IMO..

people are blinded by the flash knockdown, i mean some idiots, hopkins included make out it was a schooling,a whitaker v chavez type scenario absolutely ****ing laughable,if that is so then why did the one deluded/blind ovulating judge have it for the ex-con by a point which without the knockdown would have been even anyway, hardly a schooling!!

    i went with giampa 116 - 111 calzaghe.

I agree that Hopkins tactics and strategy were not in the spirit of the sport.

Having said that I rescored the fight a few months ago and had it 114-113 in favour of Hopkins.

Im not going to rescore it again as it is a **** fight

The only thing Hopkins did all night was throw the right hand and then grab on.

Then he faked low-blows and acted like a drama queen. If Joe Calzaghe slaps then why was Hopkins acting like a sledgehammer had hit him in the balls?

It was embarassing. I'm glad Hopkins fought Pavlik afterwards as he got some dignity back.

he creator of this thread is right

I gave it 115-113 Calzaghe, and I was biased towards Hopkins, no way did Calzaghe lose that fight

FACT: He landed more punches on Hopkins than any other opponent ever has

i scored it exactly the same as when i first saw it,i cant see a way in which you can award the fight to the ex-con i just cant, effective punching or not, calzaghe pushed the fight all night, the latter stages where quite embarassing with regards to hopkins, imagine if calzaghe had relied on his counter punching(which after all is what he is best known for) the fight would have been a 12 round stand off, pistols at dawn!

freddie roach and hopkins got the game plan right that night, but it still wasnt enough not by a long shot.

    I had Calzaghe 115 - 112.

Calzaghe's straight left was more effective than Hopkin's straight right.
