First, why wasnt this fight stopped? Second, my god Clottey is a good fighter. He has tremendous handspeed , head made out of brick and throws some heavy shots. Im starting to worry about Cotto right about now.
LOL 1:30 of this interview.. Calls Citron a "*****". http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DRHfrNKDvy0 Im starting to like this guy. Seems like everyones been ducking him and with good reason. A shame realy a gem like this has gotten swept under the rug for so long.. Cotto, you are the man.
Tremendous hand speed??? Whoa, whoa. Easy, tiger. Let's not get ahead of ourselves. He's no Pacman. He's a solid, durable fighter who does nothing exceptional yet everything well.
This fight should never be brought up for asessing CLottey's skills. 1. Chico jumped up 2 weight classes 2. CLottey was a middleweight that night 3. Chico is the one who made that fight exciting, Clottey just tight guarded shots from a lightweight and retaliated when he was tired.
I think he has got tremendous handspeed. Ive been watching all of his fights I can, and he has had more handspeed than every oponent he faced thus far (exception of judah and it was close). Other thing I think you have to have handspeed to beat judah, and thats how he wont that fight. I also think his record should be undefeated. I thought he beat margacheato handily, and his other loss he got dq while winning into the 10th.
But come on you gotta admit...he has a gigantic forehead. Joshua Clottey's mom musta been a warrior, She had to push that thing out. She deserves Mothers Week...**** Mothers day.
Cotto will beat him and by UD, Clottey is good early but fades as the fight goes and in this fight he will have to stay active to score rounds.
According to Showtime he was 170, Clottey says he weighed in at 175 and then begged Showtime to lower it. This is apparently disputed as Clottey drunkenly rambling but as a man I can attest we cannot tell a lie when wasted so...I believe it.
