Just watched Gassiev - Wlodarczyk; was the KO legit?

    I would have deftly blocked it with my elbow, slid a half-step to the left, dipped my right shoulder and countered with a right-uppercut to the solar plexus followed by a sneak left upstairs....Then I would have called Dorticos into the ring to start the hype...

    Gassiev almost KO'd Lebedev with the same shot. He's one of the best bodypunchers in the game.

    "Almost" is the improtant word there.

    Again, a guy does not sprawl out along the canvas when he gets hit to the body, he curls up and holds his ribs. It really isn't as controversial as you guys are making it. You like Gassiev, great! I liked Bruce Seldon but he took a dive against Tyson. That's that.

    Exactly. It was a great double left hook...first upstairs, then downstairs. And The Pole was up against the ropes do to some big right hands just before the final barrage.

    Gassiev looks like a hairy Chuvalo to me. And he has good defence; keeps his gloves up around his head and not way down by his sides.
