Exactly, this is boxing, its a thinking mans game. Especially at the highest p4p level there is no room for mistakes. I was more impressed by how well pacquiao could read hattons movements, all the sparring with fast guys has made pacquiao have extremely quick reaction times.

Cmon guys, hatton is a pretty big puncher, and pac dosent have the greatest chin. He gets hurt somtimes but he always fires back or moves out da way. Hatton did hurt him a bit, but hattons main problem was, after he threw a punch.............

he would stand in front of pac. BIG MISTAKE 1
he would have his hands by his nipples. BIG MISTAKE 2
he was fighting manny pacman - he shouldnt have even signed the contract :-(

I remember Pac said in an interview after the fight that he "felt" Hatton's power early in the fight.

Pac was wobbled by JMM in the second round of their second fight . . . so what's so hard in saying that if the heavier guys would connect . . . Pac could be in deep touble. That's why Team Pac is asking for a catch weight . . . Pac is not a legit 147 lber.

Just use your common sense :deal

^Early in the fight... that means it must've been in round 1 and that was probably when Hatton was trying to hold him.

Pacquiao bounced off of everything both Hatton and De La Hoya landed with athletic resistance. He did seem a tad shell shocked from the increased force of the heavier men's punches at times, but as far as I'm concerned Manny is surprisingly durable and well dispositioned dealing with damage north of 140.

I think he has it worked out so that he won't take any sustained damage without rolling out and recovering completely in case it ever gets too hot. He can be trusted to look out for himself properly, IMO. We didn't get much chance to see what he can tolerate this high in weight, but we didn't see how prepared he likely is for the rough stuff either.

Fighting 'scared' has made Pacquiao an even better fighter. He's outrageously sharp and about as close to actual 'kill mode' as I've ever seen in a fighter with this extra bit of added pressure having to deal with guys who are possibly bigger and stronger. It helps him, in ways.

pac known for headbutting?! :-( the guy is probably the cleanest fighter around. pac has suffered cuts from headbutts but i have never heard of him causing a cut to his opponent via a headbutt. pac doesn't even retaliate by doing something dirty when an opponent uses dirty tactics on him.
