Just watched Holyfield-Nielsen and ....

That double left hook was pretty. Textbook stuff. Body and head.

But let's be real here. Nielsen looked like a statue of Buddha only slower. His only asset was the ability to take wallop after wallop without flinching. Except for that beautiful hook that is.

No way Holyfield can land that stuff on a klit. He will never get close enough and klit wont stand still long enough.

Having Holyfield fighting near 50 is sad and him dreaming of being undisputed champ is pathetic. He should have retired years ago. It doesnt matter how much money he makes, he'll spend them faster than he can earn them. Ex-wifes and kids is his financial downfall.

Nielsen himself wants to fight on as well. I hope he wakes up soon.

 

didn't see the neilson fight; it would have been like watching the seniors boxing tour or something.

from what i saw in the williams fight; holy should hang them up. if he wants to fight other grandpas; fine. if he gets in the ring with a live opponent; he's getting seriously hurt & we all know it.

 

I have the Holyfield vs Williams fight, and I have watched that fight dozens of times trying to see what you all keep saying you saw, I did not see him rocked I did not see him on ***** street or on his way to being stopped.
What I did see was Williams landed a good shot while Holyfield was off balance and it knocked him back....
if you look closely you can see that it was a balance shot but rather than to dig that fight up again and look at it you would rather stick to your story about how Sherman ****ing Williams was rocking Holyfield on his way to a stoppage that is NOT true.
There wasnt much of anything going on in that fight, now him quitting after being cut that I do question but I think thats why we saw the perfomance against Nielsen... he wanted to prove himself to the idiots who claimed he was nearly going to be stopped.....

Show me a at which point Williams had Holyfield hurt~ or retract your ****ing lies now

When I watched it first time, I was left on impression that Holyfield was on his way to be KO.

But after reding your post and watching it again, I have to agree with you. He was not badly hurt

 

Holyfield wants to fight Vitali or Vlad next......................doubt if they would fight him, but if he does he will have zero chance.

 

Let Holy fight a young contender like Boytsov, Helenius or even Mormeck. Let's see how he does.

 

Nielsen hadn't fought in about 8 years. I agree Holyfield has aged well and still has fight in him, but not enough to overcome anyone better than Valuev (or a lot of opponents worse than Valuev).

Looking at the Ring top 10 heavyweights

Wladimir- Holyfield gets brutally stopped
Vitali- Holyfield gets brutally stopped
Haye- Holyfield gets brutally stopped
Adamek- thoroughly outworks him and barely loses a round
Povetkin- somewhere between the Haye and Adamek outcomes
Chagaev- a bit like the Ibragimov fight
Chambers- same as Adamek
Dimitrenko- I give Holyfield a reasonable chance here. Probably doesn't win though- he likely loses by UD
Boytsov- (I don't know enough about him)
Helenius- Holyfield gets brutally stopped
Arreola- ugly fight, Arreola manages to outwork him

Arreola and Dimitrenko look like his best bets here, but I wouldn't put vcash on him in either of these fights. Both are pretty respectable punchers and Holyfield has performed terribly in some of the fights he's been in in recent years

Word is, After he fights Fransie Botha, there are talks of the latest South African Heavyweight hypejob Flo Simba fighting Holyfield...maybe for the WBF?

 

I definitely give Holyfield an A+ in longevity, but under no circumstances do I want to see him fight a Klitschko. The best realistic outcome we could hope for in such a scenario is that they carry him and it'd be a terrible fight. The worst, and also realistic outcome, is that we'd see a warrior who's given so much of himself to the ring get severely injured.

If Evander wants to keep taking on the seniors circuit, more power to him. A specifically targeted contender? Go ahead. Wlad? Not a chance in hell would I want to see that fight.

 

Holy gets killed by any top 20 HW. I know he may be a hero of yours but you are all overestimating his current ability in a big way.

 

Let Vitali Klitschko get ahold of him. It's time to put the old dog down for good.

If you need to watch that fight dozens of times, it seems to indicate you are desperate to find something positive about Holyfield. OK, how about this: A fighter with on of the greatest hearts in HW history QUITS without real reason, using a small cut as an excuse. WHY would he do that unless he knew he was hurt and knew he was going to get stopped? If he wasn't hurt and didn't think he was going to get stopped, which would have completely derailed any hope for a title shot, why would he quit?

Dirtiness is the only one thing that Holy still in his prime. It was very dirty fight from Holyfield.
