Available to download from one of the big boxing torrent sites :)

Whose bright idea was it to have Kickett have his US debut against an unbeaten prospect who is faster than him ?

Kickett put on an okay performance but man it was a tough ask to win the fight

Kickett is fast on his way to a journeyman career

Kickett got knocked down by a nice counter left hook
    and KOed by an uppercut

One thing which stands out is Kickett does not have much power at this level and his chin really is so-so at best

It is a real shame what has happened to Willie he has not been managed correctly like some of the frauds that we have had in this country.
He could easily have been a world champ had he been taken down the right path even the st clair fight was a little early i say

lol. Blaming Kicketts management is so far off I can't believe Ii'm reading it.
He fought a kid with 9 fights. Sure he was a prospect with fast hands, so he should have been avoided? gtfoh.

Funny that you guys didn't have a problem with Goldenboy putting their boy in with another prospect who had 15 fights and a win over a former champ.

GBP weren't actually that high on Broner. It was a great opportunity for Willie and I'm sure had he won or looked good, GBP would have signed him. Where's the bad management?

Or better still, lets hear what you guys would have done with him? Another 11 fights vs the Gerongcos and Mangans of the world?

Fair enough statement Jet, I dont think its the end for willie kickett. Perhaps it was a moment too early for kickett to face someone of this calibre, but that can hardly be blamed on poor management. Opportunities for oz boxers can sometimes be limited and when they were given one they took it.
I think willie can benefit by staying over there and racking up some fights in the states against decent opposition to build on some skills and confidence.

Totally agree with perfect jet. Kickett's management done the right thing by giving him the fight. He just wasnt good enough. I hate how a loss these days means a boxers career is over in so many peoples eyes.

Your right a lose doesn't mean the end, however, 2 ko's in last 3 fights probably does. Hope for Kicketts sake it isn't.

That's an obvious concern of which their is no getting away from.

The only question I had about Kicketts prep for Broner is his last fight. 4 rds against Roel Mangan at 135? I'm not sure what that did for Willie.

Maybe the Broner fight came at fairly short notice and the Mangan fight had to be squeezed in. Benefit of the doubt to his team there.

William was fighting weak, slow no pop fighters with 11 losses, no win, no Kos, and this time he got offered with a prospect with a winning record with high KO pct. This was a real test a step up if you will. and he got checked.

I just had a look, Kickett dosnt look comfortable being the aggressor, especially against someone as quick as Broner.

Kickett def had his moments but to me the look on his face after that final uppercut said 'I dont want to be hit like this anymore'.

I saw this fight a few days back , when the kid listened to his corner between the 1st and 2nd and threw more than one punch at a time he looked decent to say the least its a pity he chose to give up on the 3-4 punch combo because Broner didnt really have a clue what to do with him when he was firing , oh and how many times was he getting caught with the counter left hook ? and is his chin really up to world class level ?

I think Kickett chin will stop him making to very top, I just watched the fight, it was a very good fight for the 1 to 4 and then the american just took over

Just watched the fight too. Dont think it was a bad/incorrect matchup. It was more a case of no real plan B or tactical change. He (and his corner) should have realised he was getting caught by way too many counter punches (and hard ones at that). But he still kept charging in and leaving himself open. All the way until he got KTFO.
