I agree mate there is still a question regarding his chin , ok it was a peach that had him on ***** street but you can do as Roach is attempting to do with Amir khan at the moment thats fight to a game plan to protect your weakness , will it be enough v the likes of Kotelnik in khans case ? who knows but as we saw during this fight after Craig obviously told him to start throwing more leather after the 1st round Wille had success and that Bonner to be fair looked trumped for a while , it was only when kickett stopped throwing the 3-4 puch combos ( Ie plan B ) he got himself back in trouble , he started stepping back to admire his work , he reverted back to A the very plan that had him in trouble in teh first place , i still think kickett CAN be a player on the world scene however he is going to need plans B C & D to protect what could be a shaky Vera Lynn , :good
I would say Broner was to big a step up so close to the Elomar KO. Broner may have only had 9 fights but he had well over 200 Amature fights and was very succesful. Having said that Kickett is still a really talented fighter and can come back from these 2 losses if he really wants it.
His best bet is to move up 1 weight class and add a bit of muscle so he has some pop in his punches...
I too just watched this fight. Firstly, well done on a good effort by Willie. The American's speed was at least equal to Kickett's but appeared to have a longer reach and great power! This was particularly evident in the 1st round where Broner threw the counter left hook anytime Kickett threw a punch. The hook was successful at times but would serve an ominous warning for later in the fight... The 2nd round was soooo much better for Kickett. He started throwing 3-4 punch combos with success and Broner began to coverup and look confused. He looked great at this point and must have caught the eye of somebody there in the states! The file I downloaded had no round 3 (!) but from what the commentators were saying early in Round 4, Kickett must have held his own again. Round 4 he boxed well too and 5 - until the last 10 seconds where Kickett got caught and stunned/dropped by a left hook that was thrown as a counter to 1 straight right hand. The American's body language showed him more relaxed and aggressive in Round 6 and promptly closed the show with an angled short left uppercut/left hook that split Kickett's guard (he was covering up head down). This was a good fight where Kickett was able to hold his own. He lost, no big deal. He must have gained so much from this fight - he was outgunned early, used his brain to find a way through but lapsed late in the fight and was punished for it. So many lessons from this short fight against a top opponent! He knows now some things he needs to work on to get to the point where most of us believe he could be. Again, good effort.
Im very interested. I appreciate it. But it wont be neccessary if I can have the torrent site. Thanks much appreciated.
Well, what I originally did to find it was go to google and then type in "boxing+torrents" , make sure you use the quotation marks and + sign. On the first page of results you'll see a mention of a 4 letter acronym in capitals. Google again using those letters and you should be on your way. Of course it'd be much easier for me to just straight out and tell you what the site is but that would result in me getting a ban which i'm sure no-one apart from Kronky wants.
