Vitali was hanging on for his boxing life in that last round. Especially after being badly hurt by a massive Lewis uppercut. But Klitschko nutthuggers like to rewrite history. Look t Lewis face after the fight compared to Vitali's. That said it all.
Being an ATG doesn't matter either, if a champion beats a challenger he doesn't owe him a rematch, it's that simple.
Viltali lost to an old 256 pound Lewis. Logic says his chances would have been less against a prime 240 pound Lewis. That's just common sense.
Alot of ATG's lost at one point.... it doesn't mean they could be beaten by just anyone a prime Sugar Ray Robinson lost to the English Randy Turpin.... but it doesn't mean SSR wasn't one of the greatest of all time
Lewis retired on top and is in the hall of fame. Only a moron would be "embarassed" about that. Vitali should be embarrased for quitting against Chris Byrd.
You can't have somebody's number when you've never beaten them. Vitali lost the fight so don't get it twisted.
I've watched the fight enough times to know that Vitali gets more credit for losing a fight than any other fighter in history. Are you denying that Lewis won the last round of the fight? If so you lose credibility.
And you come to that conclusion from 6 rounds of boxing that resulted in him losing :huh He has a number.... not sure it's the right one
Vitali quit and lost. By your logic that means he would have quit against Lewis too. BTW, Lewis was not in his prime until after that fight when he switched to Emanuel Stewart.
