Yeah I'm a Floyd fan but I only watched May-Canelo once, the live broadcast. I was at a party so didn't really analyze it like I did tonight. Floyd's defense was amazing in this fight, he really only used his legs in a few rounds otherwise he was right in front of Canelo countering nearly every punch he threw. When Floyd did get hit he rolled the punches, deflected, but more importantly never let on that he was affected by any of the shots.

In contrast Angulo was reeling from Canelo's shots from the 1st round on. Also I was impressed with the intelligent way Floyd fought, he knew exactly when to attack, when to defend when to evade, when to flee, you can't teach that stuff, if u could more fighters would do it....I had a lot of respect for Bradley but after themindless way he fought Pac and Ruslan, he's to "dumb" in the ring to be a threat to Floyd. Maidana, yep he's not smart enough either.

They say Canelo tried to box Floyd and that's why he loss but he actually went all out in a few rounds, Floyd's Defense and countering was just too good for Canelo to sustain an attack. To me Floyd-Canelo ranks up there with Floyd - Marquez as an almost perfect display of boxing skill.

Canelo tried to box for most of the fight and people criticized him for it, haven't they seen his other fights?

Not everyone can be like Marvin Hagler and go from a boxer-puncher to a whirlwind attacker.

Mayweather took Alvarez to school and that was what I expected. That's how highly I think of Floyd'd skills and how relatively little I think of Canelo's.

there's a critical reason why FLoyd is so much faster than his opponents on fight night: he doesn't have to rehydrate 10+ lbs after the weight in, against Canelo it was no different, add to that he was facing a JMW with concrete shoes

Canelo has never been a walk-down destroyer, he tried his best but it was just levels.

You think his key to success is all about the weight? Not needing to hydrate or dehydrate?

it plays a big part, no doubt

Floyd and Pac are two fighters who fight at their walking around weight, which means they have an advantage at the start over guys like Canelo or recently Bradley, who rehydrated some 10 lbs after the weigh-in. Making weight to some extent has impact on your stamina and body, the more you dehydrate for the weigh-in, the bigger toll it takes, take Ricky Hatton, who dehydrated a lot to make weight, and by the time he was 30 his body was already starting to feel the effects of constantly draining himself

I'm not saying the weight issue was the key factor in Floyd schooling Canelo, he's always had **** stamina, add also the fact that he drained himself a lot, and the fact he isn't a speedster on his feet and tried to box Floyd instead of using his size to his advantage, made for a very easy night for Money

That's CJ ROSS the same judge who scored for Bradley over Pac, she was basically forced out of the sport, resigned

Very true. Floyd at 37 might have the conditioning of your average 25 year old. The way he doesn't gas out. He doesn't have a lot of wear and tear on his body.

Dude doesn't cut weight. Doesn't Drink, smoke. Works out year round, and on top of that he has a defensive style that allows him to avoid punishment.

    All that adds up.

Pac too. That's why I think 147 is Pac's most efficient weight, especially for the long run. He was cutting weight to make 135. Often rehydrating to 147 on fight night.

However fighting at 147 he doesn't need to cut weight, and that will prolong his career.

He was outboxing him from the first round. If anything Canelo had his best rounds at the end. I saw nothing wrong with his stamina, he just fought a better fighter.

Also you're overlooking that theres a reason guys dehydrae/rehydrate. It give them a benefit in size and power.

    Theres pros and cons.

Floyd was expected to win, but not in such dominant fashion. i'm a huge Floyd fan and i expected him to have some tough moments with Canelo. instead he completely schools this kid and puts on one of the best performances of his career @ age 36

I would like to see a fighter fight Floyd and wait for Floyd to attack, will there be any action at all?

Someone will have to take Floyd out of this defensive confort zone, see if he truly has skills to also be an offsensive fighter. Floyd is the most cautious fighter in the world which is s disappointment.
