Just watched Mosley vs. Cotto. How did you score it?

I didn't see any fighter hurt. It seemed the commentators were so in shock that Cotto was standing up to Mosley's best shots that it seemed to influence them to the point where rather than giving credit to Mosley for scoring a clean shot they would continue to comment on how well Cotto was taking them. At one point they were like "Mosley lands a HARD punch, but Cotto takes it and Mosley is backing off wondering what he's gotta do to hurt him." As if Cotto was backing Mosley off because of a barrage of punches he just countered with.

Anyway I have no prob with Cotto winning.

This. Cotto went from being a bully, to a boxer this night. You could see it in the first 6 rounds in the margo fight, he looked outstanding.

Neither fighter was hurt, but you can see how the shots connect. Also I prefer to score the fights in mute so the influence of the crowd and commentators don't influence my decision.

That's what Cotto does when he understands that he can't hurt his opponent. He did it in 4 fights: Against Mosley, Margarito, Clottey and Pacquiao.

Vs Mosley he thought he was ahead on the cards (and he was) and since he couldn't hurt Mosley or back him off, he chose to box on the back foot and did pretty well.

Vs Margarito, he got 'bullied' by the bigger man and tried to do what he did in the last four rounds of the Mosley fight, only Margo managed to tire him with relentless pressure and eventually hurt him.

Vs Clottey, the cut he suffered played a major role, as he was clearly bothered by it. Still, he managed to box well during big parts of the fight, against a guy that simply can't step up and pull the trigger when he needs too.

Vs Pacquiao, he simply got overwhelmed with big punches and from a moment on he couldn't deal with the speed of his opponent.

Too late for that, both are shot. Although if Mosley fights like he did in the Mayweather fight, I see Cotto taking the decision again

Idk, I think he's pretty much done. He fought like someone going into their first sparring session

this thread is obviously has another agenda. it is to give more and more and more credit on floyds win over mosley and give less and and less and less credit on pacs win over cotto.

I believe I scored it for Mosley by 1 pt but a draw or 1pt win for Cotto would have been alright by me. The fight felt like a draw to me really and if Mosley had just pulled the trigger a bit more, he would have been the clear winner to me.

Actually it's not. This debate started in a thread that was about Pac and Floyd, yes, but I watched this because I was going on writers opinions but hadn't actually seen the fight myself and someone told me I should watch it so I did on youtube. To be honest, I was hoping to score it how the judges did but didn't.

Some people see ghosts around here.

One makes a thread about a fighter, and it just HAS to be related to Pacquiao or Mayweather somehow.

Nowdays one has to carefully pick his words, otherwise he will be accused of agendas and conspiracies.

You people really need to lighten the **** up and stop ****ing up this forum.

I was surprised by the lack of robbery declarations after this fight. Nobody has ever seemed to question the decision. I think it was a really even fight. The best result would have been a draw. I've had it 114-114 and 115-113 in favor to either fighter in the several times I've scored it.
