That's my take on the fight. I think I could re-watch it and score it 1-2 points different for either guy each time.

I had Cotto winning clearly to be honest... it was close no doubt, but in that fight cotto showed extra dimensions of his game, but fall in love with fighting on the backfoot too much. Cotto had tight defense that fight and rarely got hit full flush shots, always had a hand in the way or crouched down. That version of Cotto would've been a tough fight for mayweather.... he simply outboxed mosley... but it was close and it could've been a draw, but that's the closest to a victory that mosley could get...

Cotto was still susceptible to uppercuts but shane throw NONE.

I had it a draw, but had no problem with Cotto winning it.

I think thatn90% of the people who write here are blind or don't know nothing about boxing. First Cotto is one of the worst boxers in recent times. How can you said that somebody was a good boxer when he takes over 50% of the punches throwing to him? Explain to me what means a good boxer to you. Leonard, Ali, Whitaker, Benitez, Calderon, Dela Hoya in his times were good boxers who don't take that kind of punishment. The bicicle of Cotto was an unreliable one. Go and see the fight again please before came here throwing flames to me, and look that Cotto was moving, but was taking almost any kind of shot that Mosley throw to him. No matter how Cotto box he has no defense and absorb and incredible amount of punishment. Judah also gave him more than 50% of the punches, Paquiao was no exception. That is why Roach takes the fight. He knows that without defense he will be in danger to Paquiao offensive. And the last one, how in the hell you could say that he was boxing masterfully to Margacheato when he was almost knock down in the secong round and finish with a broken eye and nose in the same round. Look how margo was slow, but it was scoring punches to the chest and body that Cotto was unable to block. Look the fight again, if you only look the combinations of Cotto with his fast hands and you don't see that at the same time he was taking 1 or 2 hard punches to the body, then you don't know what to look in boxing are you are unable to have a clear picture of what is happening in the ring at any time. Cotto is a very bad boxer, without any kind of defense especially when goes in the offensive, he has no lungs and did not take body punches well. See how Clottey punch him in the body and almost inmediatly he stop Cotto movement, the Cotto goes to the ropes unable to move and Clottey score. The same with Margacheato, and Paquiao abuse him with the holes in his defense. Paquiao has been unable to abuse of Marquez who was a good boxer, but Cotto is not a good example of a good boxer first and most because he was not one.

Ask any fan. The commentary and crowd are what they base their scoring on. We know this.

Cotto backing up and boxing on the backfoot is not all that unusual. He'd done it before against guys like Ndou and Abdullaev.

That fight could've been a draw.. Those guys were evenly matched, and went shot for shot.. I felt on the night Mosley won, especially when Cotto went in retreat mode. This ended the warrior Cotto and was as much his downfall as Marg, Mosley payed a toll but thats how he fights..

The nuthugging for Cotto in that fight was intolerable. Whenever Mosley landed a big shot, they basically tried to argue that it was somehow a bad thing for Mosley, since he would get discouraged by being able to hit Cotto but knock him out, and would just go on and on about how amazing Cotto's chin was. Then when Mosley got hit, it was exactly the opposite: Cotto's taking over this, Cotto's doing that etc. Absurd.
