I've been away from MMA for a good while and have just started watching a few old tapes again...Watching that fight years ago at first I thought it was a terribly premature stoppage (like most people did) but upon second, then third viewing and watching it on slow mo... Ken was put OUT by that first elbow, and his eyes were closed and he looked asleep as he absorbed the rest, only to pop right up after Dean stopped it. I think it was actually a good stoppage and feel pretty bad for the **** I gave Herb Dean afterwards, also another pity about the controversy was that we had to watch Ken take a THIRD humiliating beating off Tito.
Looking back, I can't believe the amount of **** that he took for that stoppage especially when you consider the fact that the third fight ended the exact same way.
Reactions to being knocked out are unpredictable things. Some guys pop up like nothing was wrong with them and others end up on ***** street with Mike W.
