I just watched these 2 fights back to back and tried to see how JMM vs Pac would pan out. My conclusion is that I think Pac would make an easy night of JMM. Too fast, and especially too big. At this point Pac would be a very heavy favorite.

I think that at 130 Pac has a clear edge, the size difference would be simply too much for the already less talented Marquez to overcome.

JMM had a very hard time against the same version of MAB that Pac easily beat.

I'd also like to add that prime for prime MAB is much better than JMM

I very much want Pac to fight a young fighter.

Give me Diaz, Guzman, or Valero.

I swear I would not pay to see him fight Marquez again. I like Marquez, but this fight should have happened a long time ago, its time to move on.

I want to believe you Black, but I just think too much time has passed and that Pac is peaking now.

nah man this fight needs to happen now, we need to finally close the books on the first fight, JMM isnt war torn and Pac is still abit fresh. Not to mention JMM is considered 1st or 2nd to Pac as lineal champ in the division, lets crown someone and bring in the rest to try to take it away.

Disagree. Marquez more talented than Barrera. Maybe Barrera has the slight edge as its close and up for debate, but Barrera aint much better as you said.

And to compare the all round skill of Pacquiao with what Marquez has shown over the years, not even up for debate.

I think he takes JMM at this point and by late TKO.

I agree with this statement, the Marquez rematch should have happened a few years ago, just as the Barrera-Pacquiao rematch should have happened a few years before. If Barrera had fought Pacquiao the first time (like he did the second time) he would have won a decision. As Pacquiao was still a developing fighter with too few skills, mainly relying on his speed and power. In the second fight it was evident that Pacquiao had way better skills, and developed his right hand more. Marquez has only gotten slower and easier to hit.

A prime Marquez just went life and death against a shot Barrera. A prime Barrera would've dominated him.

    marquez will beat pacman...
if you wanna compare...look at it this way..pacman was cautious for the first time in his career against a man that he already beat...not only that, but juan manuel whooped barrera hard not too long ago....

remember ya'll...pacman aint the same hungry fighter he once was...his last fight proved it...he only traded when barrere tried to swing'em with him...

if he does beat juan, it will not be easy work...juan aint easy work for nobody.....thats just plain stupid to say that

Juan Manuel never whooped Barrera hard in his career. JMM struggled to get past a shot version of Barrera that Pacquiao beat quite easily a few months later.

In the post fight interviews you can see after the JMM fight he was dumbfounded that he lost the decision, while against Pacquiao he admitted he was bested by the better fighter.

A prime Marquez?. You need to pay more attention when watching fighters.

Marquez has became slower over the last couple of years. Easier to hit, and his mobility hasn't been the same either. Prior to fighting Barrera, he showed he was static against Jandaeng and Jaca. He's simply standing and trading punches more than his prime days, and thats never been the way he goes about his business.

He's lost his bounce on the balls of his feet.

I didn't see those fights but against MAB he had some bounce in his feet the whole 12 rounds.
