Pacquiao is more talented but JMM has better technique and has more skills...PAC is a natural .. he has a style thats very different from the filipino style...See Elorde, Ali and SRL...

I have a feeling he was just picked from the streets because he beat up a guy who supposedly had better skills..

I like to think of jmm, mab, morales & pac as the mini fab 4.

The way they are at the moment, my gut tells me this is the order they would fall into.....

    pacquiao
    marquez
    barrera
    morales

The order they fall into as far as all round skills & greatness in their primes.....

    morales
    barrera
    pacquiao
    marquez

Morales body is ****ed up right now but in his prime & fully fit & prepared I`d pick him vs all 3 of those guys with mab giving him the hardest fight.

It would be a shame if people remembered erik the way he was in his last few fights, it clearly wasnt him & I STILL thought he beat diaz.

Mirani, I think there is some truth to what you're saying.
Marquez may have slipped some, and Pac may have gotten a little better technically.
....but remember, getting better technically does'nt make him a master on the technical side of the sport.

You mentioned that in a rematch, Marquez may be forced to start the exchanges, taking note that Pac did'nt fight an aggressive fight vs MAB, and tried to bait MAB to come at him so that he could counter him instead.
.....here's is my take on that and why that strategy might not work vs JMM.

MAB was dead set on moving to his left and fighting of the backfoot in counter mode. Pac put a wrench to those plans by waiting and forcing MAB to engage.
Pac had MAB totally psyched out, moreso because MAB had already been on the tail end of one of Pacs beatings......

The one thing that advantageous for JMM in a rematch with Pac is that he and Nacho Beristein (master trainer and strategist) now have the benefit of studying that tape of Pac with MAB......

You say Mirani that Pac would make JMM attack.....I would envision Nacho having JMM doing two things to counteract that move by Pac.
JMM would attack, but he would also do something else that MAB did'nt do......Marquez would mix some attacking along with alot of feinting, which means he would fake attacking to force Pac to try and counter his feint....when you do that, you now can counteract pac trying to counter the feint.

When two technictians go at it in the ring, you'll find that there's alot of feinting by both fighters being done.
MAB did very little feinting to try and disrupt Pac, and Pac has'nt even begun to discver the art of the feint.

....thats why I would envision that if Pac were to try and get technical and be more passive as he was vs MAB, its going to blow up in his face as JMM has long been schooled in the art of fighting a technical fight.

Pac may be quicker and faster, but Marquez is just too polished and has too many weapons and choice of types of punches for Pac to win a technical battle.
I just cant see Pac competing with Marquez if Pac layed back and got into a boxing match.
Pac has chosen to fight this way just recently, and is'nt experienced enough to pull it off against what may be the best technical fighter at this very moment in boxing.

Thats why I say that if Pac attempts to win in the style he did vs MAB, he's going to find himself getting mastered every which way and reverting to what has got him this far in the first place.

What is that saying that trainers say, you dont hook with a hooker????
Well, you dont box with a boxer....especially when that boxer is the best in the sport at it!:smooch :D
