I could have opposed to the stoppage IF cotto had the chance to beat pac via hayemaker punch. But i couldn't see it.

i believe pacman is on a "killmode" that last round and could have ended cotto's career if bayless let the fight continue..

that said, bayless did the right thing..

It's really tough to see from the HBO camera work but, during that flurry, Cotto went from against the rope to fully sitting on the rope.
It's a real pain in the ass to see, though, you pretty much have to match the still photos up with the video.

I've never seen a fighter look so agile, move well on his feet like that and look clear headed and have a fight stopped on him. It wasn't like Cotto was backing himself into a corner and letting Pac tee off on him. Sure he was running, but he was surviving.

Anyway I'm not married to this, just thought Cotto could have finished since it went on that long and didn't look "hurt" in the sense he was ready to fold at any second, aside from his mess of a face.

I'm only a reader here most often but I just wanted to point out the fight was just broadcasted coast to coast in Canada on TSN. So his post is not so out of nowhere.

    weak.

wow, I just seen the fight for the first time and the only meaning analysis I can make is that the ref shouldn't have stopped the fight.

    Brilliant buddy.

I am sorry but if it was earlier some fools would say the referee was on the take and they were sure cotto was going to come strong in the later rounds for a ko.

That is a ridiculous statement. Cotto was moving to avoid Pac's assault. If
you freeze moments you can make any fight look different than it really was.
I do think the stoppage was good, although a ninth round stoppage might
    have been better.

Cotto had given up...it was later admitted by Cotto that he wanted to quit after the 10th but his corner pushed him out....Cotto had his heart taken out by Margo..he got a partial heart transplant when he discovered that Margo was most likely cheating (and im sure in his mind, it is definitly cheating) but pac took the rest of his heart out.

That's awful. That can happen to any fighter at any point in a fight though
