Pavlik Just easing back into thing, What most people dont give credit to Pavlik jab, this is like some Jack hammer (seriously) and another thing have you notice how much power he can get with short chopping shots, I study every aspect of this game, and some of you just simply under estimate pavlik abilty, this Guy is powerful, and let me say that he will ko williams late, PAVLIK BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:happy:happy:happy:happy:happy:happy:happy:happy
Espino may be crap, but it doesn't make any difference. Pavlik will ice Paul Williams in under four rounds. Martinez is another matter.
:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl Pavlik is a ONE-TRICK-PONY. He Hits and gets Hit!!!! NO Variety to his Style. And NO Ring IQ. Doesn't know how to adjust to a fighter who can move. Had several dates with Paul Williams but canceled and then scheduled a 5th place finisher from "The Contender'. A fighter who stands right in front of you and GETS HIT!!! How do you explain a fighter with a low punch rate like Hopkins DOMINATING HIM!!!!
I noticed Pavlik was movin his head a bit....and making Espino miss....I know Espino isn't that good, but just an observation....
One loss to an ATG and Pavlik has been called a fraud, hypejob, bum ever since... To me, Pavlik's future and potential to attain greatness is wide open. He can learn from his loss, improve his game and dominate 160 for years. Or he can be in denial about what the Hopkins fight showed and say to himself it was all just because of his fever remain a physically tough, limited fighter who will always look good if an opponent allows him to fight his way. Hopkins was an unusual case though, a very slick boxer with an iron chin and physically stronger than Pavlik. This combination is something Pavlik won't run into very often. His physical advantages and will can carry him to victories over many technically more proficient fighters, it's the reason why I would favor Pavlik over Sturm. But there are those fighters, especially at 168, that would be a huge problem for Pavlik unless he really steps up his skill level and ring intelligence. Let's wait and see how he handles an elite fighter. Right now, he certainly isn't finished.
ignore list in an open forum , man thats cowardly !!!!!!!!! , this **** aint facebook man , we are all here to argue thats the whole point !!!!!!
and how do you explain your comparing a 181lb bernard hopkins who makes his living not getting hit and neutralizing his opponents strengths to a 158lb paul williams who plants his feet and stands in front of his man when he wants to make a point and flurry?? (and don't argue w/ the fact that williams does do that...even wwm will admit that williams throws caution to the wind and goes to war) williams gets hit by everyone he faces just like kelly does. that is a fact. only difference is williams cannot hit pav w/ anything pav hasnt been hit with and williams has never been hit by anything as hard as pav will throw. hopkins and williams could not be more different...both in size and tactics.
everyone he faces lands on him...just like kelly. problem is, no one under 160 has the power to get williams' respect. i don't consider the shot he took from martinez to have dropped him simply b/c of the power on it but also the angle it came in on. but hell martinez has a 50% ko ratio. and before you tell me how slick martinez is...know that margo was slipping the jab on him. slow ass plodder antonio margarito was finding williams. kelly moved up two weight classes and got totally outclassed by the lhw king b/c what makes kelly good at mw did him no favors at that weight. why no one thinks the same thing will happen to williams when he moves up two weight classes, leaving behind every advantage he had at 147 like kelly did when he left 160 is beyond me. williams overwhelms his opponents w/ volume and pressure and has the stamina to do it all fight. this works great against guys he can just overpower. martinez gassed and wilted towards the end. he will leave these advantages at 147-154 when he fights pav. THIS DOES NOT MEAN THE FIGHT IS A FOREGONE CONCLUSION...what it does mean is that peterson saying they are "gonna step right in and check that china chin" is an absolute joke. miranda sends people through the ropes and he didnt make pav budge and miranda was throwing 100 punches a round at the beginning.
Ok...Way to avoid the TRAP I was setting for you. I was hoping you'd say Quintana and Martinez....Because I had the perfect response. if you know anything about Boxing...Any Southpaw will tell you...They HATE fighting other Southpaws. They begin in Juniors, Golden Gloves, Amatuers fighting nothing but Orthodox fighters...And other Southpaws gives them fits. Orthodox fighters are EASY for Williams...Especially one that is Stiff as a White man on Soul-Train like Pavlik. And for the record...Pavlik is not exactly the "King of Stamina".
right, i agree southpaws are difficult for anyone. but margarito is not a southpaw. he is a ww version of andrade who catches shots w/ his face. and that stiff white boy has over an 80% ko ratio at mw and above including guys who have never been stopped before. easy? the margo fight was anything but easy for williams and as limited as pav is in some respects, he is a much more complete fighter than margo. paul couldnt put margo away at 147 despite margo being easier to hit than pavlik but somehow he is going to put pav away at 160? i have followed williams for a while and he has made me a big fan of his for many of the same reasons i am a fan of pavlik. williams is going to be a tough fight for anyone 147-160. he has heart, a good chin and great workrate and stamina. but ya'll are seriously underestimating how imposing this "limited white boy" can be at mw and ya'll are doing it b/c of what an atg hof'er did to him at lhw. see manny stewards comments about pav leading up to taylor I. they sound so much like what you and everyone else are saying about kelly. you do realize that you just told me that i "failed to walk into your trap" about southpaws...then give me your pre-packaged response about southpaws anyways...only to disregard what i said about the margo fight by telling me that orthodox fighters are easy for williams.
I think Pavlik would do pretty badly against Williams. I really hope that fight gets made and it actually goes through, this time.
