IMO Margo has a better chin than KP and greater stamina which allows him to recover quicker!

I watched the fight and was not impressed by Pavlik at all! He seemed to be hit to much and was allowing Espino to fight a close fight and nuetralizing Pavlik's power! The one thing Pavlik did that I liked is that he used the uppercut because he knows how effective that is against a close fighter!

One thing you KP fans are not mentioning is that Espino got up from every KP knock down and fought as if those punches never hurt him!! Even the corner stoppage was premature cause Espino wasn't really hurt! He seemed more worn out or tired than hurt or dazed!

How do some KP fans compare a (champion with tremendous speed, boxing skill, great defense and decent power) to a (50th ranked MW with no speed, boxing skill, defense or power)? You guys can get happy witha win but to tell you the truth PW takes on a harder fight than KP any day of the week!

KP lost to Bhop because KP thought BHop was an old man and that he could wear him down! Team Pavlik actually thought that the Bhop fight would be easy!!

This is what champions are not suppose to do!(Locket, Espino, Rubio):-(

Thanks. Sad thing is, most of what I get come from people that used to post here. So now it has to go through a filter. I always try and be accurate but.... It would be better if those people didn't just leave the board or post so sporadically.

Watch the Rubio fight. He actually TOYED with him at one point using movement.

He was criticized for boxing more against Rubio in his first fight after Hopkins. :patsch His camp said he would be boxing more and even managed to work "think Yoga" into the mix prior to Rubio and the same haters pointed to how long it took Kelly to make Rubio cry and quit on his stool as a sign that he was 'ruined'.

Espino was determined to get inside with Kelly and we saw Kelly do things his detractors say he can't do. Oh well....

This is getting more and more Pathetic!!:-(

Did you guys forget Espino is the 50th ranked MW(probably now in the low 200's) and Rubio is B-Level fighter at his best!!

It's easy to toy around with B and C level competition!!:-(

Personally I am not here to argue. I am here to discuss boxing. The people on my ignore list are generally people that have nothing to add to the boxing conversation and probably shouldn't be on the forum in the first place. I think that is an intelligent use of my time to ignore that ****. Cowardly? :patsch It is the morons sitting at their keyboard hurling insults and hate across the internet where they are safe from repercussion that are cowardly. These pimply faced little girls wouldn't dare say what they do face to face with TO ANY ONE! :deal

can't argue w/ ya cuz...pavlik was rusty for sure. but after a 10 month injury induced layoff and only a five week camp he still did what he was supposed to do and that is stop espino. i agree he took more shots than i would have like to see. maybe that's attributable to his wanting to go to war in front of his home crowd. either way, he did take some shots. but then again when has he not?

as far as margo goes, he was clubbed like a baby seal in his last fight and stopped by a fellow 147lber. and you may be thinking..."well yeah ssm and brother naz had the perfect gameplan." ok, so did bhop and at 181lbs hitting pav at will similar to ssm hitting margo, pav didnt get stopped. (i know i'm inviting your bhop isnt a big puncher response but ask tito and oscar about that is my response as you well know :D)

bottom line is that both pw and pav use offense as their defense and both can be found. on top of that, both of them are good at pouring it on after their man has been stunned or when their man seems to be overwhelmed. who hurts who first or who stuns the other first or who makes the other ditch their gameplan and go into survivor mode first will go a long way in determining who wins the fight. the type of shots i've seen pav take indicates to me that paul will have a hard time hurting pav to the point that pav will stop coming forward and instead go into survivor mode which he's never done at mw anyways. (i would argue he didnt against hops either but suvivor mode or not he got licked). on top of that i see pav having the power to deter pw.

i see this fight going like this: both men starting fast and landing on eachother w/ williams throwing more and pav landing more meaningful shots w/ the first couple rounds being hard to score. i see pav landing a big shot which may or may not drop williams but will certaintly stun him. i see williams responding the way he always does (like he did against martinez) and turn it up even more b/c the man is a warrior. i see him realizing that, while this tactic has been very effective against smaller and weaker opponents, it won't work against pav. this is the point in the fight where it will either end w/ a stoppage or williams backs off in an effort to not take as much punishment. if his response to pav's power is more, more, more, then the fight won't last seven rounds. if he realizes going to war isnt the best stategy and backs off and boxes...better chance for williams. if williams decides to back off he will then have to keep pav off him which will be new to paul b/c he's not used to being stalked around the ring.

Great points Cuz.......The things I would like to add on is that alot of KP fans make it seem as if its KP's fight to lose rather than either boxers fight to win!!

I know you heard this allready but to me this is one of the most valid points! KP does not have the boxing skill, speed or defense of Martinez let alone Quintana! KP has the power but he dosen't have AA power at all!!

Let us not forget that KP is gonna take some punishment too and that will nuetralize KP's power and ability to KO PW which may make for a long fight and not an advantage for KP! IMO I believe if KP doesn't do something big in the first 4 rounds then PW is gonna make a hard fight for KP and may eventually stop him late or win a UD!

Oh yea Bhop isn't a power puncher or finisher in this stage of his career!:yep

The same can be said about Williams, when hes taking a beating hes still coming forward leaving himself wide open.

oh this is gonna be a very hard fight for both men. it is not a foregone conclusion by any means...whether your a pav or a williams fan. both men have the tools to really give the other fits.

as far as pav's power, i agree its more about accumulation than one shot power. i think it was in McKart's post fight interview when he was talking about pav's power when he said something similar. he something to the effect that it wasnt just one punch that did it but that everything he throws has heat on it.

as far as pav taking punishment, oh yeah...williams will find him.

as a huge baseball fan i see this fight being similar to a matchup of a power pitcher and a power hitter. you know i'm throwing heat...you know exactly what's coming...if you get over powered than join the club...if you hit it and beat me then i tip my hat to you. paul and kelly know what the other is about and know what to expect. that is what makes the idea of the fight so exciting. no tricks, no running, no dancing, just two game fighters who give as good as they get.

What part of "I know Espino isn't that good" do you not understand ????
