it wasnt an amazing fight but it was a clear win for cory. i dont mind phillips getting a belt. this neither damages cory's record or gains anything from it. he coudl win an other light middle belt. but against who?

Cory got jobbed badly. A part of me was happy for Verno, but in the end, results like that are inexcusable.

There's Phillips, Forrest, Alcine and Dzindruk.... Sergei has never fought a NAME so a fight with Spinks would give him a little spotlight... Can Spinks make 147~?? Same could be said about Alcine.... If Don King makes one of those PPVS then he may draw one of those guys into defending their title against Spinks...

I was actually a pretty good fight. Cory fought Phillips a lot in that fight.

It was actually better than I and most people who saw it expected and yeah Cory got robbed, but it was cool to see the fight on don king's website where the fight was showned, Don King stated he is going to do more live streams of fights in the future.

The worst part was after the fight when Spinks was interviewed.....he has such low self-esteem and didn't even put up a fight for himself winning :-(

    Can you say "fixed"?

There's another Don King webcast tonight at 9 PM ET, a tape delay of Jose Alfaro vs Yusuke Kobori (WBA interim lightweight title/title eliminator).

Seems it was a very entertaining fight judging by today's news reports, as was Paulus Moses's (a very good lightweight from Namibia who beat top European contender Andrey Kudriavtsev from Ukraine last August).
