He's got a black eye, but the reason of this post is I really didn't realise how old and battered he looks now.

I wish him all the best, but if its boxing what's done that to him , he really should stay out of the ring!

I don't think it's the boxing that's made him look old and battered, it's what he was doing when he wasn't fighting that's taken its toll.

I just saw that same interview. I know Ricky was never an oil painting but he has aged quite dramatically in the last 3 years. I really hope he manages to make this comeback a success - I have my doubts but I hope that I am wrong. I really do not want to see him stiffened by some palooka.

Good luck Ricky, I hope you can turn the clock back.

It's a combination of things, naturally he's no pretty boy, his fighting style is pretty rough and that's taken it's toll, plus he's had a non healthy boozy life style out of the ring as well.

What would the world say if he destroyed this tin can and then called it a day? If he admitted he didn't have it in him but still went out on a W?

That would be fine, he might be able to retire happy and not hit skid row.

It's possible he'll do what Naseem did, come back for one fight, look really **** but retire on a win.
