First off Ruiz looked 50 years old in there. Haye is a exciting edition to the heavies, it was good he got Grampa Ruiz outta there, only Tua before him was able to do that. Now to the subject of Haye vs the Bros KO. The Haye that fought Ruiz I highly doubt could beat either of the Klitschkos at this point. Haye was way too wide open. Obviously he could be against Ruiz who couldnt pull the trigger at all really, btw I've noticed in alot of Haye's fights he leaves his left down really low (like Vitali). If Haye shows up with his left low, all it will take is one or two flush shots from either KO bro to end him. But Haye carried his power well to hw, and has a better shot of ko'ing Wlad than Vitali. Well all know this division desperatley needs Haye vs either Klitshcko, and good promotion behind it. I'm sure Haye will make it a good fight. Haye probably can/will change his gameplan for a fight with a Klitschko, so my basis on an outcome between Haye and either bro right now is stirctly for the Haye that ko'd Ruiz. Wlad Klitschko Ud12 Haye Vitali Klitschko Ko9 Haye
The latter part of your post is correct in that Haye never fights the same way. Its his adaptability and athleticism that makes him a good fighter. If he has to keep his left hand up to beat a Klit he will.
Haye himself admitted that he wasn't that good in the Ruiz fight. He had a problem during training and couldn't spar as much as he wanted to so his usual sharpness was not there. If the Ruiz Haye turns up against either Klit then Haye is getting KOed. Hopefully Haye will have a good trainging camp for any potential Klit fight.
Not another Haye thread about how it wasnt a good perfomance, he admited that hmself but he can adapt to just about every style look at his last 3 fights there all diffrent styles, he would employ a diffrent strategy aganst a Klit, would he win? mabey not but dont get sucked in to beleiving he would fight like that against either brother because he would adopt yet another style
I actually think he would pose a good threat to the Klits, he moves really well around the ring and has some good power, the way Ruiz fell from that first one-two, I thought it was all over. But yeah, this leaving himself open is something that I would hate to be the reason for him to get caught clean and knocked out but I think Adam Booth and Haye are smarter then that. I think they would come up with a different gameplan for the Brothers. But win or lose, he would make it a lot more exciting then the others before him, no doubt!
It's a fight that must take place, and it's one of the handful only worth seeing in a dire heavyweight division. Haye definately has a shot against the brothers, but still does things which could cost him dearly. Also, did anyone notice his pretty poor conditioning in the Ruiz fight? He was lucky he was in with an opponent who was dog awful in cutting off the ring and putting effective preassure on him. Maybe this was due to the lack of sparring he had?
I understand he would adopt a different style. My predictions were on the "Ruiz" Haye. And I know Haye himself admitted it wasnt his best performance ever, but thats ok, he got his man outta there so it wasnt too bad. Im just pointing out that thats not the performance to use against either KO Brother. Im just now posting this (which im sure is worn out by now) cause I finally just saw the fight, and those that still wish to beat a dead horse with me please post cause I can legitimately talk about this subject now.
I agree except for the fact he was lucky Ruiz was worse than normal. We already know that Haye's performance wasnt the best, but I still think it was good enough to beat almost any version of Ruiz that ever stepped in a ring.
wladimir and haye won't go 12 rounds. i would say 8 rounds max with that one. both hit way too hard, and both have too weak of a chin to last that long. the vitali fight is the fight that could go the distance as haye will box in that one like he did against valuev trying to pick and run.
He wouldn't just need to adapt his style against the Klitschkos in the way he neededto adapt from Valuev to Ruiz. No opponent he ever faced hits anywhere near as hard as Wlad or is as hard to hit as either brother. Haye has always shown a lot of sloppiness against overmatched opponents, that's why guys like Fragomeni and Mormeck were actually competitive with Haye. Against the Klitschkos, he would have to make zero mistakes while necessarly needing to take risks. He hasn't done something like that so far.
Haye did what he had to do. Looked good doing it. Ruiz stood in there and took his beating like a man.
Ah i see, pretty much the way i see it then i thought you was implying he would adopt that strategy against either Klit, which he would get KTFO if he did It was a good display but had many flaws, he did what he had to do to win, i thnk he would beat a Klit if he chose to employ a similar strategy for Valuev.
When I think about it again, I honestly figure Wlad would MAKE it 12 by being ridiculously cautious more than normal. But I will have to agree your probably right that when it comes down to it their chins just arent good enough, and combine that with alot of power you get a ko somewhere. And with Vitali, I say a ko for Vitali only. Imho, if Vit doesn't get the Ko it will deff go 12, cause I just dont see Haye getting a ko against him, no matter what version of Haye it is.
