hell no..nobody wanna see these guys with vasquez or marquez...both of them are clearly not the same fighter they were 3 or 4 years ago...horrible match up really...
Based on what? How many times has he been down and how many times has Gamboa been down? A year ago I woulda favored JuanMa heavily, Now I'd favor Gamboa, only slightly though...great fight no matter who wins.
Both looked exceptional in their fights. Gamboa is so damn fast, and they've both eaten their fair share of punches. Tough call, I'd say Lopez late.
Quote from KO Kid: Gamboa has never taken a risk or fought a guy a level above... Gamboa fought Darling Jimenez when he was just like 13-0, Jimenez was more experienced than him ( in the pros ) and had fought solid competition, Gamboa ridiculed him. Then Gamboa fought a 25-0 fighter in Marcos Ramirez which he also blew him away and Gamboa was just like 12-0 at that fight...What more do you want? Do you want him to fight Pacquiao in his first 12 fights??? Ridiculous post... Tell me, when has a young and up and coming fighter like Gamboa faced these stiff competition so early in their careers? So stop saying that Gamboa has never taken a risk, he has and has past the test with flying colors... Yeah, they may have not been " high caliber or famous fighters " but more exoerienced than him at the pro level, YES,...
Absolutely no other prospect has fought " all winning opponents " since his professional debut like Gamboa has!!! And I mean no one... He has only fought opponents with winning records since his debut. Here are Gamboa's 17th pro fights compared to Lopez's first 17th pro fights...You decide who has fought stiffer competition... Gamboa---------------------------- JuanMa Lopez 1st-Alexan Manvelyan 6-1----------- 1st-Luis Daniel Colon ( debut ) 2nd-Araik Sachbazjan 7-0------------ 2nd-Ivan Cordero 0-2 3rd-Joel Mayo 40-11----------------- 3rd-Efrain Perez 1-0 4th-Thomas Hengstberger 12-5------- 4th-Eric Nemo 5-0 5th-Nestor Hugo Paniagua 17-4------- 5th-Charles Jones 2-3 6th-Samuel Kebede 25-1------------- 6th-Roberto Chacon 11-5 7th-Adailton De Jesus 19-2---------- 7th-Luis Bolano 41-4 8th-Gilberto Luque 7-4------- -------8th-Manuel Sarabia 15-16 9th-Johnnie Edwards 13-1----------- 9th-Jose Luis Caro 0-3 10th-Darling Jimenez 23-2------- ----10th-Gilberto Bolanos 8-10 11th-Al Seeger 27-3---------------- 11th-Alberto Chuc 10-6 12th-Marcos Ramirez 25-0---------- 12th-Sergio Mendez 5-0 13th-Roger Gonzalez 27-2---------- 13th-Edel Ruiz 28-14 14th-Walter Estrada 35-8----------- 14th-Jose Alonso 31-10 15th-Jose Rojas 25-6--------------- 15th-Cuauhtemoc Vargas 15-1 16th-Whyber Garcia 22-6----------- 16th-Leivi Brea 16-3 17th-Rogers Mtagwa 26-13--------- 17th-Jorge Otero 17-8 The conclusion is that Yuriorkis Gamboa has only fought " winning opponents " compared to JuanMa who has fought like 3 or 4 opponents with losing records...The records are there, no body can't deny that!!!
