Just watched the Johnson-Bute fight again

    LOL, what a boring fight. Reminds me a lot of the Klit fights, borefests.

    Johnson clearly had something wrong with his right hand, and you can see him shaking it even in the 4-5th rds. For the rest of the fight he was virtually a one handed fighter.
    I can't see where people are saying that Bute has fast hands. To me, it looked like he and Johnson's hand speed is rather comparable.
    Also, Bute's jab is not very good and has almost no snap.
    Not only was Johnson fighting with one hand and reduced to throwing only left jabs, but his stamina was very poor also. This really surprised me since Johnson is always known for being in tremendous condition. Perhaps his moving up and down in weight has begun to affect him at this stage of his age and career.

    I knew I was going to hate this match up because once again, we'd learn nothing new about Lucien Bute. What we did learn is that's it's very close to the end of the road for the road warrior.
    Also, had that been Hopkins standing in front of Bute, he would have had a very bad night eating lead right hands, jabs, and hooks. Of course, this assumes that Hopkins won't be like Johnson, becoming old over night.

    I thought it was actually pretty entertaining, but Bute should've finished up at the end.

    I watch it in French and Russ Anber wasn't ridding Bute's ball though. He said all night that Bute should use is right hand more after is hook etc...

    Showtime were that bad ? i'm not sure i should ask you :think

    Look at him another time and tell me if it was that bad :D

    I enjoyed the fight. Johnson did look a bit weak. Skinnier than im used to seeing. Bute showed amazing conitioing and Glenn did too, came on strong at the end.

    Hopkins rematch Dawson or retire please

    The commentators were aweful on Showtime. I had Glenn clearly taking rounds 4 and 5 and all they could say is Johnson looked rejected. It was horrible. . . Not like HBO's A-team is any better. I prefer Bob Papa, Roy jones and Max Kellerman, now thats real boxing commentating

    Would love to see BHOP vs GJ2. That would be spectacular.

    But I'd rather see GJ go out with a solid win. Dirrel, Green2, or maybe another Pavlik. I could see him still beating those guys as their power aint enough to make GJ change an 18 yr career of aggression into an overnight 1/2 type fighter.:tired

    LOL, you have a very low bar set for qulaification as "spectacular"..
    Predictable fights are not any fun for me.
    Glen Johnson doesn't stand a chance against Hopkins. Neither does Bute.

    masterful performance by Bute, he stepped it up, delivered and dominated the fight. Johnson did what he could do but Bute was too strong so it never turned into a real fight because it was one sided and therefore not the most exciting thing but it takes two to tango so it is what it is..
