I am so tired of reading "Linares shouldn't have traded with Demarco" or "Linares should have gone on his bike." there was absolutely no choice other than run and get knocked out or fight. Pressure fighters on their A-game are extremely hard to beat.

    :good:good:thumbsup:deal

I'm also tired of hearing Wow he could of coasted/bike/run to an easy decision.... when early it was all Linares, but Mid Way it was all Demarco until TKO so it was fairly even and the last 2 rounds would have decided the fight.

Linares looked good early but he stopped throwing his jab and and didn't move as much towards the middle of the fight. When Linares' jab went, his defense went with it and Demarco started to land some hard straight shots. Linares should have never stopped jabbing...

One thing that bothered me though was his wincing when the cut man was trying to stop the cut on the bridge of his nose. That definitely made it more difficult for the cut man to stop the bleeding.

Linares was always a poor ring general and wasn't good enough to dictate the fight going into the later rounds.

Linares can't punch. Lesser fighters will get hit with speedy shots like Demarco did early and mail it in, but he refused to buckle and never was discouraged by Linares' power.

This was an even bloodier Cotto/Margarito, but basically the same thing happened. Awesome fight, and I wish the best for both men, but I'm worried about Linares against any younger world class opponent.

Demarco fought a good fight with heart and determination. Lenares also showed good skills but it was Demarcos night. **** a rematch. Demarco should move on to bigger and better things and Lenares should go to the back of the line and fight his way back up in order to get a rematch.:bbb:bbb:bbb

I thought the stoppage was a bit premature. Linares wasn't defenseless. I think people gave Ciaz Jr a pass because of the cut, but the fight shouldn't have been stopped.

Linares needs a new trainer. Not everyone is successful fighting like Pac/ Khan.

Linares dominated the round prior to the stoppage by boxing. Demarco looked discouraged at the end of that round. He could continued to box, but he chose to sit down on his punches and slug. This was his undoing.

I had to re-watch Valero/Demarco after this...Its still amazing how Valero put the shut down on Demarco. Linares will bounce back, he lacks power but is very skilled. The corner did a poor job but Demarco was very Determined...Awesome fight!

Demarco was also good at cutting off the ring, and forcing Linares to trade too... he might not have been as pleasing to the eye as Linares, but what he did was effective. Awesome fight, might re-watch it again tonight.

Great point. Also, when he was getting hit in the 10th/11th you could see the man was in agony. I almost brought my drink up each time he got belted.

I thought from the way Linares was holding his nose that it was a break, he didn't look like a happy bunny at all in there in that 11th round hence the stoppage, I don't think it was that bad by the ref to step in when he did.
