Ahhh yes, poor people like you who have to resort to name calling whenever faced by the truth they dont like make me laugh.:hi: So now by your logic Lewis has an all time great chin since he fought sooo many big punchers and took all of their best shots right? :yep Fact: Lewis has a poor chin. If he didnt have it he wouldnt get dropped the way he did by the punches that he got caught with.
    Holyfield a big puncher? :rofl
Lennox survived with all those fighters beacuse of his deffensive skills. Thats a big kudos to Lennox for being so damn good that he can be great even with a poor chin. But out of the fighters you mentioned only Tyson, Tua and Ruddock are truly huge bangers. :deal

Here's an idea, start a poll titled:

Does being out of condition affect the amount of punishment you can take and does it up the chances of you being ko'd?

Please do it just to realise what a fool of a statement you made.:hi:

Truely banger? What about Morrison, Briggs and Vitali? Have you watch those fights of those fighters i mention face Lewis? I have Rudduck nail Lewis with real good shots, same with Briggs, same with Mercer, Same with Vitali and Lewis took those shots well and fought back.

Based on this.....? Lewis boxed a MASTERFUL bout, as good as flawless. The fact that it was boring was also because Tua had no interest in coming forward from round 3 on, after tasting Lewis' power. Tyson/Lewis could've gone both ways, but this landslide decision over Tua (a short fighter similar to Tyson, but more limited obviously) hardly points towards an easy Tyson victory...

p.s. Lewis had a fine chin. You don't survive the likes of Briggs, Ruddock, Vitali @ 37 years old, Tyson (still a ****ing hard puncher), Mason, Briggs, Bruno, Morrison, Holyfield 2x without having a good chin. There are few heavyweights in history who hold a better record vs punchers, especially the steroid inflated monsters he fought.

So far in this thread, I've read Lewis would get hit easy because he had a bad habit of dropping his hands. (yes, he did. But normally - except Rahman of course - against guys he thought he could trade with).

Also, he has a glass chin.

So if he had a **** defence, and a **** chin, how did he win so many title fights, and become undisputed champion?

Lewis in his early days was a right hand happy banger, happy to trade punches - until McCall of course. (terrible strategy v McCall). That was the best thing that could have happened, he became much better after that.

Lewis without doubt, didn't have an ATG chin. But it was OK. He took enough shots without getting dropped to prove that. Watch him drop his hands and let Briggs hit him - then responds by sitting Briggs on his ass. Do you think Wlad "The Entertainer" Klitcshko would ever do (or be able to do) that?

Yes, he was KO'd twice. But he was only off his feet twice - a real easy argument to make is that you had to knock him out to get him off his feet. Unlike plenty of other fighters...

Anyway, I agree with whoever said the margins in this fight between the 2 guys are so minimal, it's not funny. It really is an either way fight.

'88 Tyson is no David Tua, true. But prime Lennox Lewis is no Trevor Berbick or Tyrell Biggs either.

And there's the point. Ruddock couldn't hit Lewis, and got completely ****ing sparked in 2 rounds. Something Tyson couldn't do... (sorry, I forgot. Mike Tyson is the only boxer in history to be way past his prime at the age of 23 or 24)

Lewis wouldn't go down by those shots, because Ruddock wouldn't/DIDN'T land them. Lewis wouldn't (and couldn't) fight like Tyson. Just like Tyson wouldn't (and couldn't) fight like Lewis.

Lewis/Tua and Wlad/Sultan. The big difference in those two fights was that the first one was labeled as boring cause Lewis respected Tua's power and decided to circle around jabbing him to death (safe bet, and I don't have any problem that he chose to fight that way), while the second fight was labeled as boring cause Ibragimov fought just trying not to get knocked out and nothing more.

For the record, I don't consider either of those two fighters boring, as I'm a fan of both.

On topic: Yes, a prime Tyson would have a good chance of beating Lewis, and I'm a huge Lewis fan. Not sure that he would definitely beat him, though. What a fight that would be.
