Usyk is a good fighter; a very good fighter, but not a great one. He's got great technical skills, and he's fast, but not Ali or Larry Holmes fast (they're all about the same size, I'm guessing USyk was 215-220 in the ring. As a matter of fact he probably reminds me of Jimmy Young. I don't see him as a heavyweight superstar. I think Joseph Parker would probably beat him. He's very good but not a Lomachenko, whole different level of skill.
HBO had Usyk weighing 208 lbs at fight night. I don't think Parker will handle Usyk well. In fact, Parker is too green. Usyk would outbox him easily.
Same thing here. He's very laborious, and relies on accumulation rather than pure power. In a few years time, his youth and size advantages will be nullified, and he will get found out.
Usyk outboxed the boxer in there. First time I saw anyone outbox Mchunu, he just fades and can get stopped. I personally favor him over Parker, who has stalled it seems.
Try watching ol' Mchuluhunihuhu dominate a Heavyweight from bell to bell that gave Povetkin ton of problems, then maybe you could appreciate Usyk's performance, a lot more. This content is protected
All you need to know about slender4 that he made up BS rumors to discredit Usyk claiming that the Ukrainian was sparring in Moscow and getting his ass beaten by Drozd/Ledebev so his management was afraid to put him against top cruiserweights - he claimed that before the Glowacki fight was set. That was refuted easily because Usyk never trained in Russia as a pro. Slender has been low key shyte talking Usyk ever since he turned pro, his agenda is clear as day.
Oh I know, we've had run ins in the past, one or two about Usyk actually. That was just my not so subtle attempt at undermining his not so subtle attempt at undermining.
Usyk is good but not near Lomas level, for a pure boxer he's too easy to hit. Mchunu was outboxing him handily til he gassed and was overwhelmed by Usyks size. People are too quick to label him the CW king with guys like Gassiev and Breidis hanging around. Gassiev would put a hurting on him.
Typical casual logic, just because Mchunu an awkward tricky southpaw who has very fast hands landed punches on Usyk doesn't mean that Gassiev or Briedis would land a glove on him, they are nowhere similar to Mchunu stylewise and styles make fights. Mchunu only won the first 2 rounds because those were feel out rounds for Usyk who only used his jab. If Usyk was so easy to hit how came that Glowacki coundn't land flush on him?
Yeh ur right, parker would probably stop usyk mid rounds easily! usyk getting tagged like that vs mchuna a big heavyweight will put him to sleep! usyk won't have enough power to deal with the big boys either
