Especially for those who did not see the fight and I suspect there were a lot:

I scored it for Ruiz by one point. I had it even after 6 rounds, Valuev took rounds 7-9 and Ruiz 10-12. There was a point deducted fom Valuev in the 10th round. Official scores 116-112, 116-111, 114-113, rightout ridicoulous .

It was closer than the first fight which I scored 116-112 Ruiz. I do not like Ruiz but I give him credit. He stood right in front of a much bigger man and did not back up at all. He was more aggressive than Valuev and was able to land a lot of hard right hooks during the bout.
I definitley think that Valuev did not enough to win.

This is an other example that you can not win a close fight in Germany. Only time it happened was Hill-Maske about 12 years ago.

I can not remember Ruiz landing anything in rounds 10-12.

Well, ruiz was landing a lot of jabs too. He threw hard jabs to the body and they sucked out the air of Valuev who was dead tired in the final rounds of the fight. The casual fans may not notice them but those punches hurt. Ruiz clearly landed more power punches, Valuev just showed very little defense.

Ruiz was landing the right hook on regular basis in those rounds and was able to smutter Valuev's punches who was just dead tired. I am not a Ruiz fan, this is just the way I saw it.

You realise you are in the vast minority of people who thought that Ruiz deserved it?

I only saw it once, but apart from some early success, all I remember is classical Ruiz using his huggy bear approach and not being very successful

Ruiz deserved the first one but he lost the second one. Valuev should have lost to Donald also.

I watched it live, I can't give Ruiz more than 4 rounds in all good conscience.

Ruiz was the aggressor, but was really not effective. He got in a few great lunging hooks, but also a ton of lunging hooks that either fell short or pummelled the air behind Valuev's head.

    Valuev's jab made the difference.

Ruiz was a lot more aggressive than the last fight and was landing some decent shots to be fair but was getting jabbed A LOT.

i watched the fight for a second time on eurosport and scored it closer than when i watched it live. still i think ruiz did too little and valuev's jab was too dominant.

    I thought Valuev won.

    So did the judges.

    The End.

Saw it for the first time last night myself. To be honest I scored a close but deserved victory for Valuev. Fight wasnt as bad as some are making out though! I expected it to be much worse!

It is easy to go against Ruiz because of his style but esides his jab, what did Valuev do? In my opinion he dominated only rounds 7-9 with the jab, in the other rounds his jab wasn't really effective.
