Just Watched Vasyl Lomachenko VS Jose Ramirez

Loma has skills and he will acquire more pro experience as he gains more fights and time.
After watching his 1st and 2nd pro bouts, he is not near ready to face Gary Russell.
His reach exceeds Russell's but Loma allows his opponents who are lesser than Russell to get inside at least half of every round.
He moves well, but does not throw enough jabs. Because he throws so few jabs, his opponents just walk right in to work his body or clinch.
The only way I see Loma beating Russell is to keep him at the end of his jab, use ring movement and when Russell is in range, fire hard combinations.

In his first 2 pro fights, he has yet to fight with this game plan.

Two Pro fights where he is 1-1 and he is ready for Russell?

Ramirez is the level of opponent Russell has been knocking out, but against Loma he connected on Loma enough to lump his face up. Ramirez would have hardly hit Russell too busy defending against combination punching.

Salido is just a half step above and Loma had a very difficult time with him.

Exactly what does Loma bring to the table to beat Russell so easily, 300+ amateur fights?

The question is, why are you rating Loma so high with 2 pro fights and losing his 2nd to a guy who loss to Gamboa by UD?

A guy who got hit A LOT by Ramirez who is on the same level as the "cans" you say that Russell has been fighting?
If Ramirez can hit Loma as often and cleanly as he did, how many times will he get hit by Russell?

Russell is clearly the more experienced of the two.
He has the faster hands and better footwork.
He has the better defence and has clearly and easily beaten opposition on the level of Jose Ramirez where Loam struggled.
Loma did get Remirez out of there with a great body punch, but his face showed the effect of taking punches well before that happened.

Loma has potential, but that potential can be ruined if his management keeps making these stupid match-up decisions.
There is a reason why Russell has faced the opposition he has. He needs the experience swimming in the swimming pool before leaping into the shark infested ocean.

Ramirez is at the same level as the opponents Russell has been knocking out, and for the first half of that fight, Loma got hit far too much for my liking. That fight should have been an indication for his management that he wasn't ready to take on Saildo.

Saildo isn't world class, and not too far away from the typical Russell opponent. As I said, he loss from UD to Gamboa a couple years back when Gam was 29-0.
Loma really struggled with Saildo and he is very lucky that Saildo doesn't possess great offensive capability, a good jab and better ring technique.

Loma doesn't use his jab and to have such overwhelming amateur experience, I am surprised.
If he fights Russell with the same absence of a solid jab, the boy is in for a world of hurt. Not to mention, another loss, but this time with far more lumps than he got from Ramirez. :yep
