you cant just discredit this as an injury I mean cmon thats why we have RECORDS because its been recorded that he lost. it goes down in history and it cant be erased. it means a lot and it ****ing happened. stop trying to deny it. yes he was injured but dont take away the victory

God loves Manny and Mayweather more so than he does Byrd. Simple as that...

hey its meant to happen they were blessed. they train hard and are dedicated to their craft and have their own styles. i just think byrd sometimes let his emotions and cockyness get the better of him in fights and its more of ahinderence to him and he should just concentrate all his energy on looking for his shots and letting his hands go just a little bitmore.

but hey... against klitschko... that was a more active byrd than i saw against ibeabuchi. byrd did really let some of his shots go.. give byrd credit

I give him credit, he won against a man that should have annihilated him... I do see it as a 'fluke win' though, regardless... Byrd had balls of steel to get in the ring with the guys he did, being so small. For that alone the man deserves all the credit in the world.

I agree with all of the above 100%

I don't agree with this part because it very likely was the elusiveness of Byrd that helped create the injury by making VK miss. If the injury occurs during the fight than the win should be counted as a TKO.

I agree that Byrd deserves loads of credit for the win. He was down on all cards & he didn't give up & it paid off.

You can say it like that if it makes you feel better. Truth is a bit deeper than that.

Here's an excuse: Your mother was drunk the night you were conceived!

Seriously, some people...you think Vitali is going to aggravate an injury and end up never being able to fight again? Are you silly? It's called airing on the side of caution - continue and have no career. Pull out & live to fight another day.

Still; I don't think you grasp quiet what i'm saying for some strange reason....

C'mon man....I can understand you being angry he quit - I was - I am! - but still you've got to respect the fact he wanted to continue boxing AFTER that fight and that meant quitting.

Mayweather and Pac don't babble about their religon all the time when it comes to boxing. Wlad is in the orthodox church and never says **** like "God wants me to win". Byrd is one of those overly extroverted religious boxers, like Ward or Brewster.

I have treated numerous people for torn rotator cuffs, so I know a little bit about it. Different injuries affect one's movement differently. You might be able to fight with a broken hand or broken foot even, but a limp shoulder...oh yeah, there was Danny Williams doing it once, but Byrd was a different level of opponent than the guy Williams fought.
