Adam Smith and Johnny Nelson just plain aren't intelligent enough to unpick David Haye's bull****.

Of course, they are intelligent enough to get themselves cushy jobs talking about boxing and free trips to Miami.

Because and I hate to use this phrase they don't knock down Sky's biggest "cash cow" in boxing at least, they are never in a million years going to knock Haye down, you might get the odd cheeky comment or maybe ONE of the twenty odd million commentators/pundits signed saying bad things about Haye but it will be the minority. The casual fans want a hero to support like Lennox Lewis, not a fraud being knocked down for fighting bums.

 

Smith tried to ask the questions, but Nelson's fawning and arse licking was unbearable. He's makes me cringe. Alright, Smith wasn't exactly Paxman, but you can tell that he thinks that the klits are superior and that Haye NEEDS them, whereas Nelson just wanted to butter hayes arse up. Pathetic. he was finishing his sentances and fawning over him like a 12 year old ****** bieber fan.

 

****ing ridiculous, ringside will only be good if stevebunce is on it, sky is a joke these days and haye is an even bigger one, i cant wait for him to eventually **** off and retire and stop milking our sport

I would've had no problem with the show being dedicated to Haye if the Klit fight was signed, be interesting to see him training, how he's feeling but this interview was completely and utterly pointless...nothing new revealed, just a waste of time.

 

Actually, I just watched this and surprisingly it wasnt too bad, I actually enjoyed a lot of it. Haye was actually a little bit humble about his limitations and although Johnny and Adam at times struggled to wean themselves off ass kissing (i.e. answering questions for him at times with platitudes), Smith did the honorable thing and called Haye out on his last three opponents.

Good in depth interview on the non-Klits stuff was the best parts, and we are lucky they made this as it was one in the bank in case a card falls through. They at least learned their lesson from last year, where a card fell apart and they had no show - so we got a repeat.

 

I've just watched last nights episode. Not sure what to make of it really. Haye came across quite well in parts. It's the arse licking from Smith & Nelson that spoils it. Nelson kept doing a weird, girly laugh everytime Haye said something and Smith looked like he'd just stepped out of an 'I'm Alan Partridge' audition. Everytime I see Adam Smith on tv I get the feeling he'll suddenly pull a book out from somewhere and start reading a chapter out loud

I don't know, just all seemed a bit weird, flying out to Miami to do an hour long special episode, but Haye didn't tell us anything we didn't already know, just covered old ground as usual.

 

This trip to Miami was probably to discuss the terms for next fight.

This was just tagged on the back I'm guessing, as was Nelson.

 

You can tell Nelson loves it when the Thompson fight comes up, especially because of how easily he dealt with him.
