This makes me remember Sean O' Grady. His Dad turned him pro at 15.
During one televised fight against Shig Fukuyama, Sean was cut so badly, that blood was spraying all over his cute sisters at ringside, who were absoloutly horrified. The only person not horrified was O'Gradys Dad who refused to stop the fight. The ref was a hometown local, and he wasn't going to stop the fight either. That is, not until the dead game Sean floored Fukuyama with a desperation flurry, and the ref quickly called a TKO over the Japanese , who didn't appear that badly hurt.
Sean went on have some good wins , including his career best over Emanuel Stewards previously unbeaten lightweight beltholder Hilmer Kenty.
But Sean didn't last much longer after that, his early pro debut and accumulated punishment catching up to him...by the time he was 26 he was shot.
