This potential match up has been mentioned a couple of times on other forums and a couple of astute judges have given a few good reasons why it'd be a teriffic fight...We've got some good boxing brains on ESB..what do you guys think?

JWP is about to retire, He needs to for the rest of his life. I think Woods beats him now. JWP is pretty shop worn.

TCW........ Don't forget JWP was the Australian Middleweight Champion out of his 13 fights he won ten by KO went the distance in the other 3 he is also Les Sherringtons main sparring partner.

Potentially a great fight and good crowd puller as well.

A certain wise old ESB poster subtley alluded to this bout quite some time ago but wanted a lid kept on it. He can put up his hand now if he chooses to.

This would be a dull fight. Watching JWP without raising a knee or swinging an elbow would bat**** boring, especially against a brawler.

Lets have it right , the only reason most think it will be a good fight is in the hope that JWP loses it and brings in the elbow then finishes it with a spinning back kick . EERRR sorry that ain't gonna happen JWP is too profesional for that .

So what that means is you have yourselfs a wrestling match , a boxing bout which will be one of the scrappiest you will ever see and probably a disqualification ,, I would suggest this would be the worst matchup you would ever see , JWP does'nt have the footwork to outbox and make Garth look silly and is too profesional to get frustrated at Garths holding , wrestling , and dirty fighting , so he will not bring elbows and kicks into it .

All in all i could see myself switching this one of .

Now if its under modified rules elbows allowed along with grappling i wouild sau BRING IT ON . oTHER THAN THAT **** FIGHT .

Agree with some of what you've written. But this one would be all about the battle and the contest not the style or the beauty, and turn it off, you are kidding!
