    But I am pointing out that the way Pacquiao handles weaker opponent like Larios, Velasquez and Solis is not impressive compare to how he handles superior opponent like Cotto and Hatton.

    Before Pacquiao does not have a bread and butter combination. Now Pacquiao has a bread and butter combination that always end on a right hook.

    The Oscar that fought Tito was a full fledged welterweight. Anyway, seeing how Osacr struggled with Whitaker's movement and speed in his first fight at 147 I gotta go with Pac. Most likely the Pac that beat Oscar beats any version of him.

    had oscar won a single round vs pac, maybe id give oscar a better chance but it was a one sided beatdomn man.......lol........:bbb

    There are two key things you have in your post..."first fight at welterweight" & "Whitaker".

    Please dont compare Pacquiao with Whitaker.There simply two different fighters all together.

    Oscar would destroy Pacquiao at 140lbs. In fact you'd have to go some to find a fighter that De La Hoya wouldn't smash at junior welterweight. He was lethal at that weight and holds way too many aces.

    Oscar minus a ****in IV drip eats Pacquaio alive...

    How are peoples opinions on this now? I still think oscars speed and top class jab would be the deciding factor in a great fight

    Pac by close decision, 115-113

    Oscar has his 45 and fast jab, but pac edges oscar on handspeed and footwork. and pac throws weird angles that Oscar again could not see. I see a better version Morales-Pacquiao1 but this add pacquiao's right hand and angles and you'll see the difference.

    good points but do you not think oscar having a height and reach adavntage and actually being a good and fast enough boxer to actually utilise those adavantages would be important?

    Oscar's height and reach will play important role in the fight. just watch their fight. even the prime oscar would NOT land a punch on a moving (while punching) pacquiao. pac's lateral movements (lead left, step right) will negate oscar's height and reach, thereby confusing oscar on how to react to those 'unseen' punches. Oscar's jab will land though, winning rounds.

    We've arrived at an impasse then my friend. I think a prime oscar is quick enough and technically sound enough to deal with pacquiao's movement (most of the time at least) and negate his rushes with his reach and jab. I don't think pac can beat oscar on the outside regularly enough to win a decision. Pac would probably have his best moments in the last few rounds when oscar tires from the frentic pace but oscar would hang in there for a close decision
