    Couple of world-class flyweights, both prepping for their next fights the same weekend in late August. Three division champ "Monster of Chukyo" Tanaka will be making a second defense of his WBO title against Jonathan González "Bomba" Ortiz (a counter-punching and body-snatching but T. Rex armed southpaw, just like Peñalosa) while dynastic Filipino prospect "Too Sharp" Peñalosa will be taking on Maximo López "Tiny Max" Flores (a physically bruising oversized fly just like Tanaka) for the vacant IBO title.

    They ain't holding back with some of their shots. Would love to see the full footage, Tanaka is one of my favourites at the moment.

    This really sucks..I'm having a sleepover w/ Lil Butt tonight... I can't be crabby and sleep-deprived for my Saturday with him just because there's a really compelling boxing match on. For anything else (work or whatever) I wouldn't mind paying the price of being a zombie, but.. :xqw

    Yeah I might just catch the match on Youtube myself. Expecting a brutal destruction anyways. Not really worth getting up at like 2-3 AM for.

    Tanaka has supposedly struggled BIG time with the weight. Whilst he passed all the medicals with no issues his blood pressure and pulse rate supposedly suggest he was dehydrated and he was complaining at the work out mid week that the weight was a problem, before looking miserable at the weigh in it's self... likely his last fight at 112

    Ahh right. Well, I'll set an alarm for 2:45ish, and we'll see how it goes. I'll probably be able to zonk out again for a few hours after fight, I'm fried from getting up before dawn so many days in a row..

    I'm working it out right now, maybe if I zonk out after the Shishkin card, then wake up for the Japaenes card, then catch another hour or so, it's doable. But yeah, I'm not making any promises.
