I'm not up to date with further progress of the tournament. But as long as Benny Edwards survives I'll be supporting him :good
How did Cro Cop look? I see he decisioned an undefeated fighter, but I haven't seen the fight. What was the story? Was Mirko more aggressive than he was in the UFC? Did he look alright? :conf :hat
Smokin' Ben Edwards vs Iron Raul Catinas [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k4owIYZfer8&list=PL9NBFvoIRwBQ_4OJTDTqo8ElyJ0KL0jUe&index=3&feature=plpp_video[/ame] All fights are here; http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL9NBFvoIRwBQ_4OJTDTqo8ElyJ0KL0jUe Skip the Roufus bout, the Japanese one and the Crocop fight isn't that much either.
he would have won every round if not for the cheap shot in the 3rd. He didn't look bad, but he didn't look great either.
Well I think he does better in K-1 then mma. In mma he just get KOed with those small gloves and the punches are faster and harder to see. He will have to be tested though by stiff competition and he will once he enters the Finals.
Ben Edwards is scheduled to meet Jarrell Miller in his quarter final >>> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/K-1_World_Grand_Prix_2012_in_Tokyo_Final_16
He looks to be in career best form at the moment. Hope he can get past Miller and into the semi-final stage and beyond.
Hmm I don't know if that's reliable and the way it will go down eventually. Normally the matchups are determined by a lottery system and the fighter chosing a spot among the 8 available - which is a great system. These matchups would be nice though. Edwards dropped a lot of weight prior to this fight and it showed. He plans on dropping even more for the finals, so who knows what he can do. What impresses me the most about Edwards is that he's a very determined fighter who never quits, but keeps fighting back - hurt or not. He has a mean staredown as well. Big Ben is in for an upset in the tournament.
