However, Overeem may not make it past Ghita. Either way, I see Schilt winning again. The only really hard fight to predict from the final 8 is Ghita/Saki.
Good call. Overeem will win if he keeps his glass chin covered up and doesn't quit like he is prone to. I'm calling Overeem but if Semmy won again then i would not be shocked. Lynchburg
Pretty much how I see it. Only differences are that I'm backing Saki and Overeem purely out of bias. I don't think it's too much of a stretch to say that either could win their matches, although Overeem will especially be up against it. Schilt has looked unbeatable lately.

ghita/ saki might just be the best matchup and entertaining fight of the whole night. one thing is for sure thier will be surprises! shilt wins. its hard to say if overeem gets to the finals most likely he beats sponge... but I would not count tyrone out to win against overeem!
Yes, Ghita vs Saki will be a great fight! Don't see how Spong can beat Overeem though personally. Size will be a major factor which I don't think Spong will be able to overcome for starters. Coupled with Overeem's pinpoint striking and devastating power, I think Spong is getting knocked out.
I'd make Semmy the favourite to win it BUT if Overeem gets as far as the final I have the feeling he may put him away. Semmy's cardio did look a little questionable in the final 16 and could potentially face two guys who are very tough to put away while Allistair seems likely to finish his matches early if he wins. Style wise I think Overeem has the game to test Schilt, tall enough that he doesnt have to reach and fast/powerful enough to get inside and test Semmy's questionable defence. Schivellio has been twitering that someone may pull out of the GP BTW, my money would be on Mo and I'd guess Gerges would be the obvious replacement given he's in a reverse match already although Sergei or if he's free/ready Hari would be more interesting.
It's hard to predict. Aerts could cause some damage to Schilt, but on the other hand Tyrone could do the same to Overeem and if Overeem makes it past Tyrone, he will meet another devastating kicker in Ghita. The quarter finals will be very important for any fighter to keep the quest for the title alive. A long quarter means loss of stamina and extra damage that can be the deciding factor later on. I'll just wait for the dowload and then watch the full show at once - probably have to wait one day, but hey it's weekend and just have to stay away from the forums.
Given the format it is hard to say. I fear that the guys who come to box/strike rather than brawl will see more success. Schilts won a few, Remy has too etc However we always hope tha a destroyer wins it. Saki going far would be a huge victory for the small man. He really has an uphill battle against Ghita, Overeem and Schilt! Reem winning it would be huge for his stance in MMA. Not for his standing but his striking would be even more feared.
