Becky O’Neill took over managing Joltin Jeff Chandler’s career in part because her husband Willie had a criminal record. Upon Chandler’s previous managers mysterious disappearance.

At the time she was the only female manager with a world champion. So how many notable female managers are/were there? Which ones were the best or most highly regarded???

I can only think of Jackie Kallen. Not sure I spelled it right. I also believe Kingfish Livinsky was managed by his sister

Yeah I was to lazy to research it, and thought it would be cool to see if anyone else knew anything.

Kallen is the only other name I recalled as well

Her career as a sports writer is how she became involved with boxing. She was assigned to interview Tommy "The Hit Man" Hearns who became a six-time world champion. She fell in love with the sport and went to work for Tommy.
Kallen, also known as "The First Lady of Boxing" became a publicist, manager and promoter. She managed six champions including James "Lights Out" Toney and Bronco McKart. She was nominated twice as Manager of the Year and is the recipient of the very prestigious Aileen Eaton Award for Lifetime Achievement from the World Boxing Hall of Fame and was inducted into the California Boxing Hall of Fame.

Jackie is the inspiration for Paramount's movie "Against the Ropes" starring Meg Ryan

I can't think of their names, but Raul 'Lobito' Montoya had a female manager in the early 70s. Later in the 70s, Richie Kates had a female manager. They were the first I had ever heard about.
