I think this guy will be one of the key guys to make it to the top in the years to come. (or be the next kirkland lol) I think he will dispose of R. Guerrero in fashion and I assume A. Broner will not fight this guy/vacant title when WBA forces them to lock a fight. Looking at the welterweight division, he can easily be the top 3 in the years to come and with his body size can make 154 look easy. discuss.
A thing, I don't know about the thing. I've come around to buying him as elite but not as some longtime division kingpin. (though he could still change my opinion, as he did before...)
How are you gonna be elite and he has yet to even face a B class fighter, he was getting the hell boxed out of him in his last match....... Canelo aint even elite stop throwing that word around, Thurman is a prospect, with how loaded 147 is with all of GB fighters at their disposal if they were as confident as yall please believe he would have faced a Berto, Alexander, Madiana etc........... Yall desperate hitching wagon to any ride:-(
Me? I've been maybe the most vocal Thurman critic on here since first seeing him against Lora. The guy was hyped to hell and based on that first impression I dismissed the hype as 100% empty, and remained unimpressed even when he thrashed shot Quintana. The performances over Zaveck and Chaves both made a believer of me, however. If you don't think either of them are so much as B (and really I think both are more like B+) then I'm sorry but you DSKAWW. I rate both those guys and Thurman has significantly bolstered his resume and credentials in this calendar year already. If he beats Guerrero that will push it over the edge and make him undeniably top 5 in the division...which really isn't bad for a guy who as of this same time last year had indeed never stepped up past C level. I've been very slow to warm up to him. Accusing me of all people of being a bandwagon jumper when it comes to Keith Thurman... :yep Wow.
The last two, anyway. :yep There have only been two real tests so far. ...but yes, he aced one and scored high marks on the next.
