Can't blame you, I don't think there's a sport as blatantly corrupt and structureless as this. Fans are getting driven away with this BS.
Mayweather didn't care what Pac said about him, more of the bad media attention it was causing (and as much as he denies it, Mayweather does care what fans thinks). Specifically, because this attention would've caused huge financial loss on his part if he didn't take the fight. I remember he posted a video of Pac getting KO'ed in response to fans posting #fightPacquiao and #boycottMayweather thousands and thousands of times on every single one of his social media sites. You're 100% right on the CBS part. There was a ton of moving parts that got this fight made. Les Moonves was one of them, as was his PPV numbers dropping which caused Showtime/CBS to start get worried. Pacquiao, Top Rank, fans pressuring him ridiculously on a daily basis was also one of them. Dude, I followed these negotiations down to a T. Don't fight me on this.
This. You would think GGG's camp learned from dealing with Cotto. Did GGG even collect any step for letting Cotto fight Canelo? GGG needs to ignore Canelo and fight the winner of Lee vs. Saunders and then Jacobs. I would consider that cleaning out the division. After that he can move up to 168.
If the fight doesn't happen in 2016, and GGG is not given the WBC belt, then he needs to leave K2. Loefler is way too "nice" allowing divas to get what they want instead of pressing WBC to follow its rules and decisions.
well quadsuperquack....that's nice in theory...a little late in the game to be making a move if you ask me....maybe...maybe not.... I think ggg is content though personally
Although I disagree with you about how much Pac wanted that fight, I am not going to hijack this thread arguing with you about it. If Golovkin is not concerned about money and collecting belts is the most important thing to him, why doesn't he enforce his mandatory status to either force the fight with Alvarez or have the belt stripped from him? Accepting money to step aside makes it seem like he is like every other boxer, money being the most important thing.
BORING. I want GGG done with this division as quickly as possible so he can move up in weight and into some real fights. Who is Canelo so desperate to fight that he wants GGG to step aside? Nobody, he just doesnt want to fight GGG. Disappointed in K2 really, was hoping they would force the fight now. Hope he goes for Jacob, Lee or Saunders next while GBP are draining or force feeding some poor ****** down or up to 155.
I really don't think it was that simple as it seemed. If it was, then I'd suspect we would have ourselves a fight in May. Also, we don't know if GGG got step-aside money.
I think every GGG fan needs to except that he wants the Canelo payday more than the belt, and there's nothing wrong with that.
Hahahahaha... Golovkin getting more hate than Canelo in this thread. Hilarious. Like he could somehow force Canelo to fight him.
ya remember how some ggg fans went on and on about how ggg wanted the belt and wanted to be unified champion like it meant something deep to him? it doesn't....he wants a name and brinks truck
@ycgs....that's because even some of ggg's staunchest defenders are starting to notice something.....
Exactly. Ggg has proven he is not the throwback, GOAT chasing slayer he has been billed as. He wants paydays...just like every other single fighter out there. Although him getting more hate here than Canelo is laughable.
