    How exactly is he supposed to get more popular if big names are avoiding him? He's already fighting 4x a year.

    Yes, go up to light heavyweight then drain himself back down to below 155/157 for Canelo. Brilliant idea. Absolutely brilliant. You need to go and manage fighters' careers.

    So what does GGG do in the meantime? There are no other huge fights available to him at MW at the minute.

    Probably try to knock out a mandatory if he's smart. He should still try to get 1-2 fights in to stay sharp.

    Tureano is the real winner today, he has earned his shot and not a ***** like some jmw's or mw's and will fight GGG at 160.

    Nothing I can really add here, they should have played hardball, but if they did that Canelo may have vacated, and I'm sure GGG would prefer facing a name like Canelo that will bolster his resume in the eyes of casuals, than a Lee or Saunders etc, who may be harder to beat but no one cares about quite as much in terms of name value, so he's stuck playing their silly games.:verysad

    Canelo vs LHW Rodriguez is another Mexico vs Puerto Rico fight, and Rodriguez is the same size as Chavez. So, will they have to fight at 155 or Canelo will agree on 157 ???

    Most new Champions are allowed at least one voluntary defense before having to fulfill mandatory obligations, I don't know why anyone wouldn't see this coming.
