I mean, there have been (and still are) lots of titlists who are much weaker p4p IMO.

Looking at the landscape of lightweight, you have the young fearsome foursome (Tank, Haney, Teo, and Kingry) but I guarantee you they're just passing through and bound to all end up at light welter or higher before too long. They'll be long gone by the point K2 is likely going to want to pull trigger on yeeting Berinchyk into a championship opportunity, given how they've been taking a slow build approach to his development and the realities of how Covid has impacted the sport, effectively hampering things even further. It could well be 2022 when he reaches that narrow window of being highly enough ranked but not yet past the mark (he'll be 34) and get his crack - and by then guys like Campbell, Selby, Linares, Commey and Mendy will all be in their late thirties. Unless there are some insanely good prospects in the offing that we don't yet know about ready to blow up overnight, he might actually have pretty clear sailing to a belt at 135 in a couple of years.
