K2 Promotions has called for purse bid between GGG and Geale

Reported by stevemax boxing on twitter. Not sure whether this means that the WBA will actually order the purse bid just because K2 are asking for it. If the WBA do call for it, will Geale defend the title or drop it in favour of the IBF belt? If the fight happens, I worry about Geale in this one.

I honestly think Geale has a good chance of beating GGG and if he takes it my hat goes off to him.
I'd like to see what happens when GGG is pushed back.

Geale too many skills, will work out Golovkin and win this UD. Golovkin got hit lots last fight, solid chin but woeful defence. Geale moves and works far better than what pundits give him credit for.

If he takes it. It adds further insult to Mandy, who ran like the wind when his purse bid came up with GGG. I'm all for that:hey

Can Geale possibly defend both belts without being stripped of one? If not I would rather he stayed with the IBF.

I hear what your saying fellas, I saw the fight. I just wonder how much of that was deliberately sloppy defence in the name of putting on an exciting offensive performance. Was it just complacency from GGG? Proksa didnt offer much defence either and was too tentative.

those who are saying GGG has lacklustre defense and is a sloppy boxer are imbeciles, the guy is a superb boxer and was a highly decorated amateur who already has a victory over geale in the ams, which indicates he is capable of outboxing daniel. I do think daniels workrate and and use of angles will trouble him in the beginning, but as soon as he realises he can walk through daniels punches i think it will be lights out sadly, if daniel has any chance of winning this fight he has to stay off the ropes.

maybe he isnt as good as he used to be , or after all the victories isnt paying as much attention to detail , because if you saw the proska fight then you must admit he looked sloppy as hell

no that is not the situation imo, i saw the proksa fight and if you know anything about proksa you know he is as unorthodox as they come and i believe gennady fought in accordance to the circumstances allowing himself to be hit in order to create supreme offensive opportunities, but yeah he looked real sloppy in knocking gregor proksa down 4 times . Maybe you should watch some more footage of gennady, or maybe you don't like him because he is reminiscent of old mate kostya tszyu :tong

I'm sure Sammy could be paid some step a side money so Geale can get a extension on his ibf mandatory.

Take into consideration it was GGG US debut and wanted the impressive KO to get the US audiences talking...And it worked. It did generate excitement in the US boxing media. A good start to making noise in boxings hearland.

I think GGG is getting overrated on the general forums...... really! who has he fought to date? I also thought he was a little sloppy last fight as well as being impressive if that makes sense :nut Oxymoron :D

I hope Geale takes the fight. Win or lose he is proving he is the man on the Aussie scene.

It would be a real good stylistic fight with 2 of the best middleweights in the world not named Sergio Martinez. Both superb boxers but one with sledge hammer hands and a rock solid chin and the other with silky smooth footwork and amazing angles.

Should Geale lose on HBO he still cracked the US audience and may land a fight with an up and comming middleweight superstar later down the track.

Things are looking goor for the real deal :deal
