Loeffler is looking to get a percentage split for Golovkin - and not a "flat fee." He wants a split that is similar to the finalized agreement for last year's mega-event between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao - which saw a 60-40 split of the revenue in Mayweather's favor. At one time Mayweather also offered Pacquiao a "flat fee" of $40 million to do a pay-per-view fight, which Pacquiao rejected.

“A flat fee for a fight is usually given to a fighter or contender who’s clearly the ‘B’ side,” Loeffler told The Los Angeles Times. “My offer back to [Golden Boy] was based on a percentage, just like we saw in the Floyd Mayweather-Manny Pacquiao agreement.”

Besides that, Loeffler is currently trying to reach an agreement for Golovkin's mandatory defense against Daniel Jacobs, which *******.com's Keith Idec reported earlier today was a possibility for an HBO televised date of December 10th, which was previously reserved for Canelo's third fight of the year.

    Thoughts ?

Offer GGG a fair and reasonable deal at 160 pounds and I'm sure he will jump at it.

This should be agreed upon. Everyone gets a cut of the PPV. Canelo is not selling well since the Mayweather fight and this fight is gonna get bootlegged so they are going to lose some money, unless the Government steps in and shuts down sites like they did for May/Pac.
Oscar should at least be open to that.

    I agree
I think all this offers sent now are just for the show. They won't agree now to anything. I mean nothing will be set in stone at this point in time. Too early
It's all to create hype among US , the gullible fans, so we can argue and tell friends & family about this fight
It was the same with MayPac
When the suits decided the time was right, they agreed to terms in no time
    It didnt took 12 months

This premature offer circus only started because Oscar was forced to go into damage control after Canelo ducked GGG.

    flat offer

ODLH is definitely pulling all tricks from Mayweather's tactics used to duck Pacquiao for 5+ years

Is ODLH going to say he won't ever work with Loeffler next to delay the fight but suddenly he can work with him again after GGG has aged?

Floyd offered Pac a 50-50 fight. Who else has Floyd offered a 50-50 fight after beating Dlh? All Pac had to do was do testing and he wanted a ****en cut off date to random testing. Like the testers wouldn't know when to stop testing the fighters close to the fight. That raised red flags for everyone who thought that Pac was 100% clean.

People on here just have agenda. We have no idea when the offer was sent. Hell it could have jest been over the weekend after being called out. DLH is on records saying they are not ready for the fight prior to this weekend. I trust DLH in this as much as his denial about the fishnet.

oscar knows that ggg is the only big ticket left for canelo, he just wants to see how long he can pick your pockets before you slap his hand away and force him to cough up the goods. you let him keep picking your pockets, you might never see the goods.

The place is 99% agenda driven at the moment and nearly every thread is just more spin on this same topic.
