Haye backed out of the fight with Wlad before so I will give K2 benefit of a doubt. 50/50 deal is on the table. Everything else is BS. The last contract Haye signed with Wlad was much worse. I am curious to see how Wlad/Chisora fight does in UK. If it is anything closer to Haye/Harrison then that should make Haye's camp shut up about UK money.

K2 should call Haye on his bull**** about wanting more than 50% and offer 60/40 split with the winner getting 60 like they did with RJJ v Hopkins 2.

I dont care how **** the ref is in england, I cant see Haye beating either klit

Its ****ing simple, let Wlad keep all his German tv money and let Haye keep all his PPV money. Then split the rest worldwide 50/50. Its not Hayes fault the Klits have a crappy tv deal. If Haye splits the PPV 50/50 it means he will likely get loss than he earned from PPV for the Valeuv and Ruiz fights which is just stupid.

    Wake up Klithuggers

Booth was just looking for excuses not to have Haye fight them next. Haye vs Chagaev in the spring and Haye in his 'retirement' fight against one of the Klit's in Oct.

I've been saying this for months now. Haye generates **** loads more money than the Klits. He deserves more than 50-50. If Wlad can't get a decent TV deal in Germany, that's his fault and he should be the one to suffer for it. End of story.

That being said, this interview very much makes it seem like Booth wants to hold off for one more fight and get Saurland off their backs before the Klit fights are made. Boente is a very smart man and there are few people who could out-debate him in this setting. Booth is no fool, but he's nowhere near Boente's level in terms of experience and general sleaze-ball BS-ness.

I'd say Haye doesn't want the fight cos of Saurland and the Klits don't want it cos they're greedy dicks. Overall, both sides are complete tools. If Haye fights Chagaev I will be so pissed I can't even explain.

Haye really doesn't have the leverage he thinks he has in dealing with the Klitschko brothers. He has to enter as the challenger and submit to their demands or he may very well never get those fights.

Maybe I'm being optimistic but I think Haye wants and will eventually fight atleast one of the Klitschkos. I see Haye's reluctance to fight as being all about money on a couple fronts.

First he wants to defend his title against as many of the Audley Harrisons as he can. He can make safe defenses for big money before moving onto a Klitschko fight and he's an underdog against both brothers so a loss could have an impact on future fights for him. He knows he can get a Klitschko fight anytime he wants so he's going to milk hit title as long as he can.

Second, I think by dragging things out he's getting the Klitshko's to concede more and more to him because they both want to fight him pretty bad. I don't know what the first offers were but I bet Haye's end of the deal is a lot better now than when he first started talking with the brothers a year or two ago. He seems to be using the Klitshcko's hatred of him to get them to give up more just to fight him. Not to mention the longer it takes to fight one of the brothers the older they get, especially Vitali.

Maybe I'm wrong and Haye is afraid to fight the brothers but I think its more about negotiating. Its the biggest fight out there in the division and Haye can always turn to it while getting concessions as time goes by. I'm a much bigger fan of the Klitschkos than Haye but I still don't think Haye is going to permanently duck the brothers. I think Haye fights one of the brothers this year.

I assume you mean next year.

Haye will fight one of the brothers when he wants to retire. His gameplan appears to be:

    1) Milk the British public for everything he can.
    2) Work out when he wants his last fight.
    3) Finally stop stalling; fight Wladimir and get the living **** stomped out of him for a pile of cash.
    4) Retire.

Rephrase the question "Is Haye scared to fight a Klit?" with "Does Haye think he can beat a Klit?" which is, in many ways, the same thing.

The answer is clearly "No." You think Haye is making good money now? Imagine is he was the undisputed king of the Heavy division. He would be earning 4 times as much per fight.
He has had the chance to do this. He has not taken it. Why is he turning down this opportunity? Because his own assessment is that he would lose.

Then look at the question "Is Haye scared to fight a Klit?" again, from a different angle. A lot of people think it means "Is Haye scared of being beaten up and hurt?" of course it can mean other things.

For example, if Haye is scared of a loss, not because of being hurt, but because of the impact it would have on his earnings, then he is still scared.

So, if by being scared you mean he doesn't think he can win, then yes, Haye is scared. If by scared you mean he is afraid of the consequences, then yes, he is scared.
If by scared, you mean afraid of being hurt? Well, I think this is always on a boxer's mind, but they tend to be able to overcome it. That's their job after all.
If there was a situation where that fear would become difficult to handle, then this would be it. He has pissed off some guys who are literally a class above him, bigger, stronger, much more skillful, and who now want to see him suffer. He knows they will beat him, and he knows that they will want to make it nasty. In all of boxing, there would be no two people who would be worse to **** off, or who could do more damage.
But every pro boxer has taken whoopings before, whether in the amateurs or in the gym when they first started, or in sparring or whenever. I think he will get in the ring, but he will be very intimidated, no matter how much he acts like he isn't.

By any reasonable definition he is scared, and yes he is ducking. Being willing to take one final beating before he retires doesn't change those facts; rather it proves them.

The writer of this article, James Slater, is very biased towards Haye and UK fighters on the whole. Without realising it he has made a case for Klitschko to get 50% of the ppv money.

When you try to defend the indefensible you will end up making yourself look foolish, this is what I keep trying to tell these Haye fans.

The only thing Haye bringing is a share of his Kool-Aid drinking british fans. If he does not want to split that money then he is bringing no value to the fight. It will never happen.
