Not really, if they are going to lose they want to lose for the most money possible. Lara presents the exact opposite of the most money possible. Smart business for K9, he's overachieved in getting the title might as well go out for the most $ possible.
He openly stated that he doesn't want to be fighting southpaws he's fought them for the last 3 years he said he's to old to be chasing southpaws round the ring. Check out the place that hypes fights he give Lara his props though
Then Fight Molina, Ishida, or Delvin Rodriguez... high level fights that will place him deeper into where he wants to be.
Thats really good managerial work by Emanuel. Protecting his fighter. If McClellan had listened to him and avoided Benn, who knows what he could have been.
Not many fighters at 154 want to see Lara in the ring right now. I hope Lara gets his title shot soon.
