When's he out next? Last fought in June. Since 2018, he's only had one fight a year. He's 29 now, really needs to step things up if he wants to get in the world title mix.
Looked like he was very close to getting the Fury fight at one point but Fury was kept in cotton wool as usual instead of having a decent activity fight with him. Fury's handlers don't seem to understand activity for him is important, they will probably not get Fury out till summer at this rate. They can't afford to have him fight nobodies. Either way with his elbow issues now really hitting home he only has a few fights left in him.
I think they're trying to make the Kossobutskiy fight next but i'd be surprised if SES allows this to happen. They protect Kabayel like a baby.
He’s been looking for a cash out fight in a voluntary for a few years. Issue is only fury would fight him and all the other belts are tied up. soo we or later he will get a voluntary defence in 2023/24 or will have to take a gamble
That was meant to be the win that could push him on to better things. It was on a big stage, Matchroom show, on Sky. He's lost all momentum since then and the quality of his opponents has gone downhill too.
Guy, it was a fraud on Fury's part. He knew that he could not fight until the Wilder matter was settled. Had he taken the fight, he would have ended up paying Wilder millions. I like Kabayel, but I just don't buy it when these guys go years without fighting, or manage one a year. If they pushed their promotors, they could at least get 3 scrubs to stay busy and pad the record.
Very badly managed, very inactive and most definitely not making the money he should be making from the sport. If he is waiting for a very big money fight then he is not going to get one, not fighting anybody with a pulse and being so inactive. That should even be obvious to him. If he is turning down 350k Euros now for a fight then he must be a moron, as if he just sits on the bench turning down everything. Then the offers will completely dry up.
So predictions for who he'll have his one fight for the year against? My money's on Joey Dawejko where he labours to a decision win.
Yeah ill have to add this guys name to the list of guys who sit on the couch inactive and not entertaining fans or challenging themselves.
