I would wonder why the corner didn't pull barrera out after the first couple of rounds. If that was Khan with the cut it would have ended early possibly most corners would. I can only imagine they wanted bets to hold or something, if barrera thought it should have been stopped he should have mentioned to his corner.Seems like the doctor was confused when he first inspected the cut, as the commentary seemed pretty clear that it was a terrible cut.
No lads, it wasn't. It was an accidental clash of heads. Accidental as it was, having watched it in slo-mo a few times now, if there was any blame, it should be attached to MAB. And it was a fig-leaf blessing for the Mexican. He was being schooled justb as badly the first two minutes of the fight, as he was after the cut. Unless he managed to land something big on Khan's shakey chin, he was on his way to a humiliating stoppage anyway. (And no, Khan was never 'rocked.' On two ocassions, he was caught flush and reacted as one with a dodgy chin would be expected to, but not close to being hurt).
Nice performance by Khan! His style is kinda similar to Pac's right now, probably influenced by Roach. The kid got talent, hope he improves his chin and power. Good job by Freddie btw.
