It was discusses on here earlier in the week that Kahn was going to wear Reebok gloves, and Maidana was to wear Reyes... So why did the both have on Everlast?

Do you think this had an effect on the fight??

They were fighting in 8OZ gloves and Reebok sent 9.5OZ gloves by a mistake, well that was the rumours flying about before the fight anyway.

Oh... I watched it late because I was out, so I dvr'd both fights. I just skipped straight to the fights and didn't listen to the pre-fight commentary.. Thanks for the clear up.

But, why didn't maidana wear Reyes? Isn't that what he normally wears?

I noticed that as well, didn't Maidana wear Everlast against Ortiz?

Was wonderin why Khan wasnt wearing the Reebok gloves but it dosnt matter. It wouldnt have changed the outcome of the fight.

  7. There's a thread on this topic from yesterday with links and sources. See if you can find it, I can't be bothered!

But basically the Maidana camp asked to see the reebok gloves because they thought something was not right. They got them weighed and they turned out to be 9.5oz instead if 8oz. Reebok ****ed up. So they asked to get them changed. Khan said lighter gloves will be better anyway, and he was only wearing Reebok to honoring his sponsorship deal, so bring on the new gloves!
