Just came across an article and photo evidence in the not so reputable Sun newspaper that something dodgy was going on with the scorecards during the Kahn Peterson fight. It appears some mystery dude was interfering with the fight commissioner Michael Walsh during the fight and was also handling the scorecard/s at certain points. Click the link below: http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepag...-proof-Lamont-Peterson-scoring-was-dodgy.html Very interesting. I have yet to watch the entire fight so whether or not anything dodgy went on which effected the final outcome I wouldn't be able to give a judgement. What's your views on this?
There's a thread of this on the second page, I think. Made by Prince. From page 9 onwards, there are quite a few comments you may find useful. Hopefully some answers can be revealed soon.
Lol it's ok. Here it is: http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=366464&page=9 It's worth shifting through. Something dodgy does appear to have gone on.
seen the clip on sky sports, some dude came over to one of the judges a couple of times during the fight(which apparently your not allowed do) and kept pointing at his scorecard, saying stuff to him etc,not a fan of khans but something fishy going on there :-/
Just watched the entire fight; including the referee's point deductions (Peterson knocked down 1st round and Kahn pushing in rounds 7 & 12) I had the fight 115-114 Kahn. Without the deductions I would have it 117-115 Kahn. My scoring may look high for both but I only score a round to someone if I feel they really did a reasonable amount more than the other fighter to deserve to win the round, so I ended up with 4 rounds 10-10. Was a good close fight and definately warrants a rematch. Got tonnes of respect for Peterson.
