agree, i think khan is wayyyyyyy too fast for this guy. but if maidan can hit him, well i'd love to see how 140 khan can take the punch
Maidana is ridiculously overrated on here now solely on the basis of Ortiz deciding to quit against him. Khan would outbox him with ease.
Kevin mitchell has shown how speed and boxing skill overcomes big puncher aslong as you box 2 a plan you are fine maidana is well overrated so wat ortiz quit against him ortiz totally outboxed hime 4 1st 5 rnds but he's a ***** and when he decided 2 play maidana at his own game and stand and trade he got caught and caught and caught again and then give in khan wouldnt stand and trade he would take maidana 2 school and while maidana is durable i'd fancy khan on a late stoppage
be a very close yet intruiging fight i gather. either 1 of them could stop each other, just depends who gets the first clean shot on the jaw
No surprise there as neither Diaz nor Malignaggi can crack an egg and Campbell is slow and past it at 140.
yeah but mitchel stepped up in weight 2 fight prescott so he would be stepping up 2 weights 2 fight khan who is better in all departments anyway i could only see khan stopping a small or fat (like jmm against floyd and look what happened there) mitchell in the middle rounds
what he actually said was "I'd like to see him in a unification fight as well. But before that, the WBA have ordered another mandatory defence against Argentinian KO King Marcos Maidana. Devon Alexander holds the WBC title, Tim Bradley the WBO and Juan Urango the IBF - all three are tough but winnable fights for Khan. With Paul Malignaggi, Juan Diaz, Maidana and Nate Campbell being linked to Amir, he won't struggle for fights in the next 12 months."
This is a fight that will not happen in 2010!! Roach has already stated that Khan will vacate the title if Maidana is made his mandatory!! As for Frank Warren, whining that the WBA are "Forcing" Maidana as their #1 contender, WTF is that all about? The WBA picks their #1 contender, not the champion's promoter! Who does he think should be next in line if not Maidana? I wonder if his comments suggest a "We've gave up the belt in protest" statement is to follow! Amir is going to have to face a decent puncher sooner rather than later, that's one of the things about being world champion! Amir had his "Freebie" against Salita, now it's time for him to make his mandatory defence. I hope he can prove all the doubters wrong, but the fact is that his camp, who work with him almost daily obviously still have serious doubts about his ability to take a good shot and it is for this reason that Khan-vs-Malignaggi (Or even Khan-vs-Spadafora) is a far better bet.
I agree that Amir would out-box Maidana and I doubt if anyone would seriously suggest otherwise, but the thing is that I do not envisage Amir stopping or ko'ing Maidana! Which means that for 36 minutes Maidana, a noted puncher, has every chance of winning the fight. One thing is for certain, Maidana will test Amir's chin! And if Amir's beard looks as rubbish as it has done on numerous occasions, then he is getting ko'd/tko'd. As for Ortiz, he was just another GBP hype job and his "Quitting" was embarrassing to watch!
Khan's team obviously do not agree with you Terry mate, or they would not be moaning about Maidana being made #1 challenger! Nor would they have said (as Roach did) that Khan will vacate the title if Maidana is made #1 contender. I actually believe that Amir could beat Maidana, but Khan's camp do not share the same confidence!
