http://www.setanta.com/uk/Articles/...arren-Amir-Arthur-likely-for-2009/gnid-34544/ Frank Warren revealed on Steve Bunce's Boxing Hour that a meeting between Amir Khan and former WBO champion super featherweight champion Alex Arthur is likely for 2009. Arthur lost his title to Nicky Cook in September and since then has indicated his future lies in the lightweight division. Warren promotes both fighters so a defence of Khan's Commonwealth title against the Scotsman would not be too hard to make. The promoter will announce Khan's next opponent along with the date and location of the bout, in a weeks' time. Whether this will be against Arthur remains to be seen, but a fight between the two seems inevitable down the line. "I think that's a fight that can happen this year," Warren said on Setanta Sports News. "I think this will be a good fight for boxing."
Why is the title of this thread "Khan WBO title shot" and the content of the article not actually about Khan getting a WBO title shot? I'm confused :huh
What he really means is that this will be a good fight for his pocket. An overated chinny lightweight facing a former super feather isn't really a good fight for boxing is it?
